- König Wolf Introduction

In order to improve on an otherwise unarmed unit the CP-22 Dual Sniper Rifle and CP-23 5-Launch Missile System were installed to the basic Zoid. This dramatically improved its fighting capability and permitted the wolf to better defend itself and its allies on the battlefield.

. [Name Details]
The name 'Assault König' is based on the Battle Card Game (Volume 6 in particular.) More commonly the Zoid is referred to as the König Wolf 'DSR' or 'Dual Sniper Rifle.' This name is used mostly in game media.

- Details of Design

. [Dual Sniper Rifle]
While the Dual Sniper Rifle is, well, a sniper rifle, it has repeatedly been shown firing automatically with many rounds for second. This is mostly limited to anime media .

- Featured In Media

König Wolf DSR was featured in Zoids Vs. I and Zoids Vs. II / Battle Legends. It was one of only a couple Zoids capable of using the sniper mode which took the player to a zoomed in camera screen for long range sniping. It also contained 2 DSR weapons, one single shot cannon and one specifically for sniping. In Zoids Vs. III it was replaced with the MK-II.

In the Zoids Saga I and II games the König Wolf DSR is available. In Saga II it is piloted by Athle's comrades, Ace, Earth, and Regina. In later games the Zoid is replaced by the MK-II version, and the original DSR scheme is 'obtainable' as the white color variation of the MK-II. This replaces the green-eyed version from Saga II.

In the Zoids Web Comics Bakusu later upgrades his König Wolf to the DSR version. It uses these weapons to fight against the Liger Zero X but later has the equipment destroyed when it is attacked by the Dark Sspiner.

In the Zoids Graphics volumes there's a brief information exerpt on the DSR's weapons. Not much is said beyond it being the additional equipment that finalized the design.
