The next wave of Zoids Episodes have hit Youtube, but I'd really like to talk about Fuzors! Fans who saw the earlier western release of this series may remember the underwhelming feeling. Fuzors isn't to a lot of people's taste. However, when the series aired in Japan, it had tons of differences, from changes in lighting effects to a copious amount of redrawn frames. Surprisingly, the entirety of Episode 2 was remade to be much darker in aesthetics and theme, really upping the visual impact of this battle. I highly recommend watching at least this one, to see the one episode you might've missed when watching the Western Release!
During May ~ June, a brand new Zoids exhibit will be open in Japan. We currently don't know much about the event, but the site has pages for info and goods that haven't been added in yet. Zoids has held some pretty impressive exhibits in the past, so we look forward to seeing what they bring to this one.
In commemoration of the Zoids 40th anniversary, a nationwide traveling exhibit will be held, looking back on the history of Zoids. In addition to popular kits from past generations and 3D exhibits such as a diorama corner, materials from past anime series will also be on display. This is a memorial event for all generations of fans, ranging from the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras.
* Future schedules will be updated on the Zoids Exhibit website as necessary.
* The content of the event may be subject to change for certain reasons. Please be forewarned that the event contents are also subject to change.
We've updated the Guardian Force section with the final 3 episodes. This includes a large number of screencaps and episode summaries, along with featured character/Zoid lists. There's still a ton of Chaotic Century episodes that need to be updated to blu-ray quality, though.
Quick descriptions for the Japanese DVDs, Volumes 1 through 4 have been added to the Chaotic Century anime section. These reviews contain over 200 pieces of concept art in a small resolution, so I highly recommend checking it out. A big thanks to Falcarius for providing the images used in these overviews!
We've added Episodes 61 ~ 64 of Guardian Force to the episode summaries. This includes screencaps from each episode and cut scenes from Episode 61, 62, and 63. Episode 64 didn't actually have any cutscene differences between the English and Japanese versions.
We've also added the remaining Concept sketches to the Chaotic Century anime page. This concludes the full size scans that we have, but there are still a few smaller, lower quality concepts that will go up when we have the time to organize them.
New concepts include: (Zoids) Blade Liger, Command Wolf, Gordos, Iron Kong, Lightning Saix, Molga, Pteras, Rev Raptor, Shield Liger, Ultrasaurus, Ultrasaurus with Gravity Cannon. (Central Characters) Van. (Side Characters) Various. (Environment) Imperial Flag (2nd image), Imperial Ring. (Organoids) Various.
Official release news has been a bit slow since Wonderfest, but we've got some site-centric stuff to focus on. The first and most fun being a large update to the Anime > Chaotic Century > Concepts page! After receiving some of the production material we've been able to update with a ton of sketches. Because of the volume of images we'll be posting here we decided to split it up into several pages.
The new concepts are: Central Characters: Fiona, Hiltz, Prozen, Raven
Side Characters: Herman, Rudolph, Schwarz
Organoids: Ambient, Shadow, Specula, Zeke
Zoids: Shield Liger
Weapons: Military Issue and Irvine's Weapons
We've updated the Chaotic Century Media Box section with the first two openings and endings. We used to have some of these but the links were broken, and they weren't very bandwidth friendly. We'll be adding the rest at a later date, so pardon the empty boxes for now!
A link has been added to the Zoids: Chaotic Century anime section to cover concept art. Right now it only includes what is posted on the volume 5 DVD but will help to organize the concept art from various sections later on.
We updated a couple days ago, as well! I wouldn't normally clarify but since its been a long time since we updated regularly I thought people might miss the earlier one.
Four new Episode Summaries have been added to the Zoids Guardian Force section! This includes Blu-Ray quality screencaps as well as deleted scenes for Episodes 55 and Episodes 56. Episodes 57-58 do not contain any deleted scenes.
Similarly the Zoids Media Box has been updated with the deleted scenes included in these episodes. At least where applicable.
The Zoids Guardian Force section has been updated with Blu-Ray quality screen shots for episodes 41 through 45. This includes the deleted scenes for each respective episode, which can be found in both the anime section and in the Zoids Media Box under Chaotic Century.
In similar news we've updated the Zoids Chaotic Century Media Box. It now includes several new eye catches, including: Death Stinger, Geno Breaker, Godos Pit Crew, Lightning Saix, Psycho Geno Saurer, Sinker Moonbay Special, Ultrasaurus, and the White Helcat.
The Zoids Guardian Force episode summaries for episodes 35-40 have been updated. They now include the blu-ray screenshots and have had the deleted scenes from each respective episode added. Deleted scenes have also been cross posted to the Guardian Force media box.
The Sales VHS set (but not the rentals) came with a Zoids Sticker Collection sheet in each box. You can see the corresponding sheet for each volume on their individual pages but if you wish to view them all at once, the section now has its own page in the "Assorted" category. It is listed under stickers.
We've continued work on getting the Chaotic Century and Guardian Force files converted to Blu-Ray media. Five new episode summaries have been added, episodes 50 through 54. This includes deleted scenes (with the exception of Episode 50 which has none) and blu-ray quality screencaps for all of the episodes. As before, they are sized down from the full size.
If you want to skip directly to deleted scenes they are all cross posted to the Chaotic Century/Guardian Force Media Box.
It's been a while, but we've got a decent update today! First in the anime section we've added two Episode Summaries for Guardian Force episodes 48 and 49. Episodes 46-49 have also been revamped with blu-ray quality screencaps. These are sized down from the originals because the blu-rays are actually so large that it just loses detail and demands unnecessary disk space for little result. Hopefully these are big enough!
I realize that this is starting in the middle of Guardian Force but it's where I left off when searching down the deleted scenes. No worries, all of the CC/GF episodes will get Blu-ray Screencaps!
In addition to the screencaps we've also added a Guardian Force section to the Zoids CC Media Box. It contains deleted scenes from the four episodes mentioned above. We'll add more episodes as we go along.
The Zoids Media Box has been updated! If you click on the Chaotic Century section you can find a new area for deleted scenes. These are scenes that were cut from the dub for one reason or another. They include not only generic censoring like blood and alcohol, but also some cool 2-3 second clips of the Zoids in combat that weren't shown.
This includes only Chaotic Century. We will be adding Guardian Force clips later on. These scenes have also been added to their respective Episode Summaries under the anime section, but the content is the same between the two sections.
In addition we've changed the screencap galleries in the Anime Episode Summaries to make them more even. Extra tall or wide images have been squished/shortened so that they should no longer mess up the row order. Soon we'll be trying to replace these with Blu-Ray quality screens but haven't been able to find a decent program yet.
