Karon meets Arashi when her grandfather brings him home from the desert. Though she knows about his somewhat obnoxious plan to use Arashi for the town's first real Zoid Battle, there's not much she can do about it. Most of her time is spent groaning over the petty competition that her grandfather has with the neighboring town's chief.
