- Zaber Fang

Pilots: ---

Zaber Fang is a Zoid frequently employed by the Imperial Army. It sees much use throughout the series, with several variations, and is considered one of the higher class units. While it is assumed that they were in deployment throughout the entirety of the series, they are not readily seen until after Raven's is defeated. Standard issue is black.

Weapon Overview:
Killer Saber x2, Strike Claw x4:The Zaber Fang is extremely adapt at tearing Zoids down with the claws and jaws. The sabers are extremely deadly fangs, and the claws make an excellent blunt weapon.     Anti-Zoid 3-Barrel Shock Cannon This weapon is equipped to the chest. It fires three large cannon shells, but doesn't actually see much use in the show.
Anti-Zoid 2-Barrel 30mm Beam Cannon:The Beam Cannon is the primary weapon of the Zaber Fang. It's the silver two barreled gun on the back turret, and fires single simultaneous shots with little cool down time.     Surface-to-Surface Missile Pod: The weapons turret on the back also contains the missile pods. This weapon has only three shots, so it's a weapon that should be reserved for necessary use only.
Equipment Overview:
    No custom equipment.

- Zaber Fang AT-C:

Pilots: ---

    "Assault Type Cerberus"
The Assault Type Cerberus (unofficial name) was used by the Trinity Ghost group, made up of Heinz, Kurt, and Alexandor. The Zoid was designed as part of a research project to prove that pilots were completely unnecessary for battle. That a Zoid could be controlled more efficiently and with fewer mistakes if the pilot factor was completely removed.

Aside from the computer system, there are no physical changes from the standard Zaber Fang AT. The three of the Zoids have been used to pad the myth of the Cerberus, giving the illusion that three would become one.

Weapon Overview:
TEZ 20mm Linear Laser Gun x2: Zaber Fang's are actually supposed to have this weapon standard. It's a laser beam attached to either side of the tail. Most in the series no longer have this weapon, but those with the Assault Unit do.     8-Shot Missile Pod: The primary weapon of the assault unit is the large 8-cartridge missile launcher on the back. This weapon rests flat when inactive, and when called into use flips up to face forward.
Beam Gun: The Beam Gun(s) are actually three beam weapons installed to the right side of the Assault Unit, but they're classified as a single weapon for some reason.     No Weapon Listed.
Equipment Overview:
Wing Stabilizer x2: The large aero wings attached to the rear of the Assault Unit. These flip out to either side. Their exact use isn't specified much, but they tend to be capable of greater leaps and balance.     Stabilizer x2: Two smaller stabilizers are also stationed on the tail. It's kind of a strange location to put them, but nonetheless.
Energy Tank: Now this is an item that isn't ever explored in the anime. The Energy Tank is stationed over the shoulders and provides power, not just for movement but for energy based weaponry.     No system Listed.

- Zaber Fang AT: (Older Generation, Gold)

Pilots: Wagner

    "Assault Type"
Also known as "AT-G," this beautiful Zoid was used by Wagner of the Three Guards unit. Along with its allies they were piloted by the most renowned pilots in the history of the Guylos Empire, and share markings only seen otherwise on the Royal Zaber, implying a great amount of prestige about this Zoid.

The actual equipment of the AT-G appears to be a standard Assault Unit, with nothing custom actually applied to the weaponry. Better shoulder armor has been added to the front legs, though, sporting a golden shield with chrome trim.

- Zaber Fang AT: (Older Generation, Silver)

Pilots: Vipei, Grosscao

    "Assault Type"
Also known as "AT-S," this silver Assault Type Zaber Fang is also in use within the Three Guards unit. It shares the same royal theme, but all in silver, instead of gold.

Like the AT-G, the AT-S sports a standard Assault Unit and otherwise has no custom weaponry. It does, however, have a specialized, interlocking armor plating over the front shoulders. Theoretically this provides the Zoid with a little extra defense, and also wraps close to the body which may additionally protect the leg connections.

- Zaber Fang BC

Pilots: ---

    "Booster Cannon"
One more Zoid that doesn't have an official name. The Zaber Fang Booster Cannon is, well, a Zaber with two large cannon barrels on its back. These weapons are attached to a butchered Assault Unit which is lacking most of the weapons. They were sent up against the Geno Breaker and almost all of them were destroyed in their attempt. Their color scheme is much like the one that would later be seen for the Cerberus.
Featured Episodes: 47
Weapon Overview:
Booster Cannons: These double barreled weapons are normally seen on Redlers, but in this case has been butchered to be installed on a Zaber Fang. They double as an assistance booster, as well.
Equipment Overview:
Energy Tank:The Assault Unit on Zaber Fang AT bases is said to contain an Energy Tank. It can only be assumed this is the large barrel on the shoulders. If so, then the Zaber Fang BC has one too.

- Zaber Fang Cerberus:

Pilots: ---

The Cerberus is a complicated machine. Originally the Cerberus was believed to be a monstrous beast, towering over large scale Zoids such as the Iron Kong. It executed each and every Zoid that it was instructed to confront, and when the target tried to fight back it simply melded through the gun shots.

As it would turn out, the Zaber Fang Cerberus is actually a specialized Zaber Fang AT, using the "AT Cerberus" as a base. This Zoid is designed to fight without ever needing a pilot, and has been customized with a very large weapons tower on the back. This gives the illusion that when the Cerberus fires, it is firing a shot from the jaws. In reality, it is firing from a massively up sized 8-Shot Missile Pod.

In the area where the Cerberus summoned pilots for judgement there were thousands of micro-eletronic stealth chips. This, combined with a power source of the wind mills, could be used to create holographic projections and stealth. This is what was used to project the greater image of the three headed saber.

It contains missiles easily twice the size of the normal assault unit, and is disguised as blasts of fire shot from the Cerberus' jaws.
Equipment Overview:
Stabilizer x2: Two smaller stabilizers are also stationed on the tail. It's kind of a strange location to put them, but nonetheless.     Energy Tank: Now this is an item that isn't ever explored in the anime.     Wing Stabilizer x4: The large aero wings attached to the rear of the Assault Unit. These flip out to either side. Their exact use isn't specified much, but they tend to be capable of greater leaps and balance. Due to the weapons tower it's extremely unlikely that this Zaber is agile enough to do that, but it still contains stabilizers ontop of the weapons tower that have been up sized.     Stealth Shield / Electrical Imaging Device: This system is a trademark of the Cerberus. In unison with the micro-electronic stealth chips it allows the basic Cerberus, which is on ground level to disappear completely. The projected hologram of a massive three headed beast effectively disorients a pilots name. The electronic impulses show up on radar, fooling basic targeting systems, and the fact that the main mass of the Zoid stands well above where the true Cerberus' level makes it extremely hard to damage the Zoid.

- Royal Zaber Fang

Pilots: Homaleph, Rudolph

Also referred to as just "Royal Zaber"
This uniquely colored Zaber Fang is allegedly to be piloted only by the royal family. Like the Redlers, it is not common to see at all and is not a standard unit deployed in the army.

Aside from the unique color scheme, this Zoid sports a single large cannon hoisted on the upper right shoulder of the Zoid. It has also been customized to be a two seater, which is not standard for Zaber Fangs. Although there is a decent amount of back equipment installed on the Zoid it isn't clarified how much of this is actually weaponry.
Featured Episodes: 33 34
Weapon Overview:
Long Range Cannon:This weapon is installed to the right side of the Royal Zaber. It is the only main weapon unique to the Royal Zaber variant.     Anti-Zoid Laser Machinegun: This weapon refers to the silver, elongated barrel hanging off of the chest-mounted Shock Cannon. It fires energy based shots in rapid succession.
Equipment Overview:
Energy Tank:The Assault Unit on Zaber Fang AT bases is said to contain an Energy Tank. It can only be assumed this is the large barrel on the shoulders. If so, then the Zaber Fang BC has one too.

- Zaber Fang RS

Pilots: Raven

    "Raven Special"
The Zaber Fang RS is Raven's personal Zaber Fang. Although it has custom (crimson and deep blue) colors, the Zoid has no custom equipment. In the series, Irvine is the only one to refer to it by its normal name, the Saber Tiger.

In the beginning, Raven is a fierce pilot. He shows little respect for Zoids, and in the end the Zaber Fang suffers because of it. The Zoid was given to Raven when he was first taken to the Imperial Army as a child, supposedly gifted by Minister Prozen. Its demeanor appears to mimic that of its pilot; fierce and ready to break down anything that gets in its way.

In that sense, Raven is the perfect pilot for this beast. No other Zaber Fang was ever seen thereafter, or anywhere in the series, inflicting so much damage to such a large number of Zoids.

- Zaber Fang STS

Pilots: Stinger

    "Stinger Special"
    Stinger's customized Zaber Fang.

This unique Zoid is equipped with a standard Assault Unit (complete with 8 Missile Launch Pod), custom painted to match the Zoid. There are also two weapon modifications made to the Zoid. The first is a single gun muzzle weapon on the right, customized to attack to the side of the Assault Unit. This weapon fires a cartridge that releases a gas. This gas easily seeps through cockpits and causes paralysis in the pilots. The other minor modification is that the three gun barrels that are normally on the right (where the gas catridge is) has been moved to the left side of the Zoid.

Weapons aside, this Zoid is said to have a fighting capacity that is 20 percent higher than any standard Zaber Fang. This implies the Zoid isn't just well equipped but also has physical strength and endurance that surpasses the original, even though the original is already a supreme close quarter combat machine.

Stinger's specialized Zaber Fang is destroyed as soon as it appears; taken down by Van Flyheight's Blade Liger.
Featured Episodes: 25
Weapon Overview:
Gas Cartridge: This refers to the round gun muzzle on the right side of the STS. When it collides with the enemy the cartridge releases a toxic gas that paralyzes the opposing Zoid's pilot temporarily.     Anti-Zoid Laser Machinegun: This weapon refers to the silver, elongated barrel hanging off of the chest-mounted Shock Cannon. It fires energy based shots in rapid succession.
Beam Gun: The Beam Gun(s) are actually three beam weapons installed to the right side of the unit, but they're classified as a single weapon for some reason.     8-Shot Missile Pod: The primary weapon of the assault unit is the large 8-cartridge missile launcher on the back. This weapon rests flat when inactive, and when called into use flips up to face forward.

- Zaber Fang STS Type 2

Pilots: Stinger

Stinger's Zaber Fang was destroyed in Episode 25 of Chaotic Century, but since then he has rebuilt his specialized Zoid with new weaponry. It retains the same color scheme that it had before, and the same face markings.

The Type 2 includes a special, customized scythe blade and a very large cannon that's held on the right side shoulder. Much of the former equipment, including almost all of the Assault Unit weaponry on the back has been removed, likely because of how heavy the Zoid would be otherwise.
Featured Episodes: 43
Weapon Overview:
Long Range Cannon:This weapon is installed to the right side of the Royal Zaber. It is the only main weapon unique to the Royal Zaber variant.     Retractable Scythe Blade: Stinger's renewed Zaber Fang has been equipped with a large scythe. This scythe is on an extendable arm that is made up of two parts. The scythe extends, and then the second part retracts into the first, greatly improving the integrity of the weapon.
Dual Cannons: This weapon has no official name that I'm aware of. They're attached to the left rear side of the back and can fire simultaneously.
Equipment not listed.
