It seems that time hasn't changed much for our team. They stood confronted by the Empire Army, but suddenly things changed. Something was different. An older man jumped down from his Zoid and ran forward. It was Homaleph - the one man in the Empire that Rudolph knew he could trust. Thrilled to see the young prince alive, he helped to escort Rudolph back home.

Together they spoke of Rudolph's adventures, and the Zoid Eve that Van and Fiona were searching for. When Homaleph heard mention of ruins he became untrusting. He recounted that Prozen had been searching for such ruins as well, and had even gone so far as to build a maximum security research facility over an ancient ruin. When he heard of this, Van insisted that they go look for the Zoid Eve, rather than sit and wait for Prozen to discover it first.

The others agreed that it'd be best to wait until after Rudolph's correnation. Van being Van, though, decided to sneak away in the night. Fiona managed to join him at the last second, and together they went to this research facility. Prozen was waiting; he seemed to know that they'd been coming. As they stood there and spoke the facility shook with the stirring of a massive Zoid; one that wasn't supposed to have awakened for some time.

Prozen immediately made the connection that it was Fiona causing this Zoid to stir. He recognized her as an Ancient Zoidia and ordered that she be seized, but when he'd finally caught up with her Van broke through the wall, stealing her away along with the Blade Liger's help. They exited the base but Prozen found himself unable to follow. The base was being torn apart from the inside, and as a massive Zoid came through the wall Fiona cried out for Van to flee. He followed her instructions and fled, a pillar of light rising to the skies behind them, not much unlike the one that had destroyed his Shield Liger.
