Van's ideal life of traveling on the road with his Zoids is off to a bad start. Desert winds are bombarding Van and Fiona, who've lost their way from Zeke and the Shield Liger. When they come across a mysterious black Command Wolf, Fiona stumbles into a sand pit, and nearly sinks to the bottom until she's rescued by the Zoid's pilot.
At a camp fire later that night, the pilot, Irvine; explains that he's been going from ruin to ruin. Albeit assumed to be an archeologist by Van, Irvine is searching the world round to find an Organoid. As soon as Van makes the mistake of mentioning Zeke, Irvine waits for them to sleep and sets off to find the Organoid himself. Along the way, he starts a fight with a white Gordos guarding the desert fortress. Ready to strike the Zoid down, Van interferes with the Shield Liger, and Irvine is forced to retreat -- but not for long.
Determined to capture Zeke he returns to the ruins on foot. A hand held grenade launcher helps him make an impression- and Van gets separated from the others in the collapse of a ruin. As the chaos ensues elsewhere, a familiar white Zoid returns, and the white Gordos helps to unburry Van from the rubble.
