- Episode 13: The Battle of Cronos

    A truck full of people stops by the Gustav as the episode begins, warning them of the oncoming battle.

    Meanwhile, Raven returns from another slaughter, and informs Marcus of his progress. Out of frustration, Marcus gripes at Schubaltz for his slow progress in catching up with his unit, which has been trailing Raven's destructive path. In spite of a following confrontation with Schubaltz, Raven departs and ignores Schubaltz concerns, only to be found by Van, who prompty issues a second challenge.

    As the Empire moves to strike against the Cronos Fortress, Van and Raven meet near by in a desolate wasteland. Immediately the battle is off to a bad start, and the Shield Liger takes several damaging hits, but when Raven loses patience with Van's poor piloting, things rapidly become more dramatic. The back gun is torn from the Shield Liger's back in a single swift blow, and the Zoid falls to the ground in pain. No sooner than Raven's Zoid spits the gun from its jaws, Irvine's Command Wolf comes to save the day, only to meet a similar fate.

    In one more attempt to take on Raven, Van charges the Shield Liger's Energy Shields and draws Raven's attention away from the Command Wolf. Having not encountered such a shield before, Raven fires on it in full confidence that the Zaber Fang's weaponry can penetrate the barrier, but his underestimation leads to a direct hit on the Zaber Fang. While the others view it as a positive attempt, Raven, less than amused, summons for his black organoid. With power surging through the circuits of his Zoid, Raven drives the Zaber Fang straight through the Energy Shield and bashes the claws into a side portion of the Liger's face, eliminating armor and exposing circuitry. Zeke, having not encountered a serious hit like that since he had reawoken, is struck down by the massive blow to the still-tiring Zoid. As Zeke defuses, Raven departs to witness the destruction of Cronos, which is self destructed by multiple Sleeper Zoids in order to slow down Imperial troops.

    Comments: The Shield Liger bouncing back was in the dub but the 1-2 seconds before it were not. Not sure why it was even removed. In Scene 2 the Zaber Fang does not fully lift its head in the dub version.
