- Introduction

The Geno Trooper is a winged variation of the Geno Breaker, designed for flight and mobilized initially during the Western Continent War. [1] It was designed as an assault-type Zoid, dropping down on enemy bases to attack them with heavy armaments, then escaping into the sky once it had exhausted its ammunition. [2]

- Military History

ZAC 2100, July, Western Continent War

The Geno Trooper was mobilized in the Guylos Empire's Special Forces unit, in a group of roughly 30 Zoids alongside the Death Stinger and Lightning Saix. Its goal was to fight off the Republic's forces, which were pursuing retreating Guylos allies, long enough for the Guylos troops to retreat. However, part way through the battle, the Death Stinger went berserk after being struck by a bullet, and killed almost every Zoid on the battlefield. This included the Helic Republic forces as well as the Empire's own Special Forces.

- Additional Equipment Information

- Gatling Gun / Vulcan

Gatling Gun: ガトリング砲 / バルカン

A small gatling gun is installed to the Trooper's nose, for the purpose of air combat. It has six barrels in total, and is called a "Vulcan" in Zoids Legacy.

- Long Range Pulse Laser Rifle x2

Long Range Pulse Laser Rifle x2: ロングレンジパルスレーザーライフル×4

The Geno Trooper retains the Pulse Laser Rifles from its Geno Saurer counterpart, but instead doubles its firepower by adding two additional turrets. The new turrent uses part of the turrets from the Double Cannon Set, with the two top guns mounted upside down. In Zoids Legacy, it's called "4-Laser".[2]

- Variable Wings

Variable Wings: 可変翼

The Variable Wings utilize the magnesser system to give Geno Trooper full flight capabilities, unlike traditional Geno types which can perform "long-distance jumping" if you ignore altitude. When inactive, the Variable Wings fold up. While they offer flight capabilities, the Zoid is noted to be less maneuverable than Zoids that are traditionally designed for flight in the first place.
