The base that the Shadow Fox had discovered was strategically tucked away. But if it was connected to the Eisen Dragoons, they had to find out what its purpose was. Were they their allies or enemies?
A mysterious Zoids base built in a place that doesn't seem strategically necessary. What are the secrets hidden here?

— Run, Zero! Go faster!
The Shadow Fox reported that the lead machine of the mysterious unit was a tyranno type.
— That's him.
He was sure of it. Ten months had passed since the battle of Nixie Base, and it was time to put to rest his feelings about his dead men and these ominous premonitions of death.
There was no way that the mysterious unit was some random one. Ray and the tyranno pilot were destined to fight.
The base came into view. Just as he thought, the earth split open beneath him. It was a huge drill. Spinning at high speeds, it attacked the Zero's throat.
Ray is the first to jump out after receiving the Shadow Fox's report. The tyrannosaurus Zoid appears before him!

A total surprise attack from a blind spot on the radar. The only reason they were able to avoid it was because Ray and his Zero's minds were already prepared for battle.
"Where are you going? I was planning on having you all head to the imperial capital, Valhalla..."
With an emotionless, unreadable ton of voice, the tyranno Zoid appeared. Although it was armed with the huge drills, it was a mobile unit with heavy armor, and he recognized its overall form. It was the experimental machine.
"If you don't go, you'll die here!"
Before he knew it, he was surrounded by the shadows of countless enemies. He had been completely outmaneuvered. The Ray Force's movements were being monitored at every turn. But from where?

The Ray Force's movements had been blocked by electromagnetic waves from the subterranean Zoid, the Grounchar, which had been monitoring the Ray Force.

In the face of the enemy he had sought, his beloved machine just wouldn't budge. In his disappointment Ray gritted his teeth to the point that they broke. He shouted into his communicator.
The Eisen Dragoons attacked the Ray Force, which wasn't able to use its full strength.

It wasn't that he expected an answer, there was just nothing else that he could do.
"That white unit, you're the one who buried the KFDs?"
Surprisingly, there was an answer. A face appeared in the rough, unsteady monitor. It was, without a doubt, that same pilot with the sad eyes.
"We, the Eisen Dragoons, do not fight for Guylos. We will only die for Zenebas."
With those words as a signal, the Zoids of the Eisen Dragoon unit turned against the Ray Force.
One by one, the Zeros fell prey to a barrage of gunfire.

The Berserk Führer, the completed Tyranno Zoid. Its special weapon, the high-rotation drill, the "Buster Claw", pierced the Zero's armor and even snapped the Schneider's blades.

In order to save the Ray Force, the Gunbluster squad, the most powerful bombardment Zoid in history, descended one after another onto the battlefield.

"Pilot of the white Zero..."
Once again, a communication came in from that man.
"My name is Wolff Muroa. I want to hear your name."
This was the man that Ray had been chasing. Wolff. Yet, oddly enough, Wolff also had this unusual feeling towards Ray. The enemy of his childhood friend, Anna Tares.
"Ray Gregg."
He had no way of knowing what Wolff was thinking, but Ray answered as he was asked.
The Gunbluster's electromagnetic shield interfered with the Grounchar's strong electromagnetic waves, halving their effectiveness.

"You said Muroa. That you'd die for Zenebas!"
There was no one on the Central Continent who didn't know the name of Muroa. Helic Muroa and Zenebas Muroa. Helic and Zenebas were brothers who had once fought for supremacy over the central continent of Delpoi, splitting it in two. The battle was won by Helic, and Zenebas had defected to the Guylos Empire.
Ray understood in an instant. If this man was of Zenebas blood, then his goal was to return to the central continent. The Republic and the Guylos Empire were both equally enemies to this man. For the first time, something bigger than revenge for his subordinates, or even his ominous premonitions of death was surfacing in Ray's mind. To defeat this man. This man who was destined to split his country in half again.
— Move, Zero! Get moving!

This was the first time he'd ever seen this kind of thing. Ray, and his machine's fighting instincts had become one, and they challenged the Berserk Führer to a battle!
The drill of the tyranno Zoid, the Berserk Führer, was coming towards them.
— I can't dodge it.
He wasn't sure what to do. He heard the terrible impact of a gunshot. I've been hit. That's what he thought. But after a moment, he opened his eyes and saw the damaged and staggering Berserk Führer.
He heard a roaring sound, up in the sky. It was the Salamander. A large formation of cargo types, modified for transport. They were dropping Zoids that Ray had never seen before. Gunblusters, bombardment type Zoids equipped with twenty high-powered beam cannons. They were secretly developed by the Republic's Engineering Department, which had learned its lesson from the battle against the Elephanders. By changing the frequency of each beam and firing them all at once, the Gunbluster could slip through the E-Shields and strike the enemies directly. That bombardment had struck the Führer.
Zero's method of escaping the strong electromagnetic waves was to eject all of its equipment.

For Ray, it was unbelievably good fortune, but in reality, it was a decision made by his higher ups without Ray's knowledge. It was an insurance plan by the division command against the unknown force, the Eisen Dragoons.
The Gunbluster squadron descended from the Salamanders and kicked the Eisen Dragoons out of the way. It seemed that the effects of the strong electromagnetic waves were halved on this Zoid, which possessed an electromagnetic shield. It was a good opportunity for counterattack. However, the Ray Force was still unable to act.
At that moment, Ray had an epiphany. If he couldn't control his Zoid anyway, he could bet on the Zero's instincts and forcefully jettison the Zero's exterior parts.
