- Notable Facts

  • Genospino's fossil was divided and displaced over a wide area due to massive tectonic shifts.

  • It's said that this Zoid requires a pilot with well-honed control techniques. Because it puts such an intense strain on the pilot, more than any other Zoid, the pilot must also have excellent physical ability.

History

Recovery of Parts, Episode 6

The first part of the Genospino was excavated by scrap dealers, who traded it to Dr. Land. When they tried to extort him for more money, however, he had their Zoids destroyed and took the part anyway.

Genospino Project, Oversight and Intentions

The Empire began researching the Genospino with the intention of reviving it for modern warfare. Collins led the project, believing that if the Empire had the Genospino, then their war with the Republic would end, and they would finally have peace. He had slotted Giller as the to-be pilot of the Genospino once it was complete.

Recovery of the Last Fossil, Episode 11

The Empire uncovered the last part of the fossil by sheer coincedence. It had been carried so far by the tectonic shifts that they could've never found it, had they not gotten so lucky. When they attempted to transport it, however, the energy radiating from the part sent its transport units (Kuwagas) out of control, and the part almost melted through its container, forcing them to drop it. When it landed in the forest, it set the entire forest ablaze. The race began for the Empire and Republic to find the part. The Empire, to recover it, and the Republic, to destroy it, so that they Empire would never be able to revive the Genospino.

The part was found, and while Leo attempted to destroy it, Christopher Giller intercepted their attacks with his Sniptera. He was able to defend the part until it could be recovered by the Empire, and the final piece was able to be integrated into the almost-completed Genospino. The Genospino project as a whole switched command. After Collins passed away, Siegal took over, and appointed Aldridge to be the pilot instead of Giller.

Assault on the Mosaic City Fortress, Episode 12

Now completed, the Genospino was appointed to the lead position of a massive unit. This unit consisted of 8 Bazootles, 8 Scorpears, 8 Raptors, 8 Gilraptors, 4 Cannon Bulls, and the Genospino, for a total of 37 Zoids. They headed for the capital of the Republic while the head of the project, Jonathan Siegal, lied and claimed that the unit was a group of pilots gone rogue. Siegal insisted that they had nothing to do with it, allowing the Republic to fight the Genospino, confident in its abilities.

They had a stop on the way to Neo Helic, however, and that was the fortress city of Mosaic. The Republic planned to lure the Genospino into a kill zone and drop the walls of the city on it, and while this plan succeeded, Aldridge paying no mind to traps, the Zoid was undamaged. It continued to attack the city, and ripped away much of the Beast Liger's armor, almost killing it. Just as Aldridge was about to land the killing blow, however, Clive Dias shoved the Beast Liger out of the way, and his Triceradogos was sliced in two.

Content with the damage caused, Aldridge continued towards Neo Helic.

Becoming A True Rogue, Episode 14 ~ 15

As the Genospino traveled towards Neo Helic, Aldridge refused to rest, in spite of constant hints from his subordinates. This led to exhaustion, and soon, he passed out all together. At this point the Genospino stopped. It was prompted into action when the Sniptera landed on its nose, attempting to extract the pilot. The Zoid sprung to life, and had now truly gone rogue. It tried to kill the Sniptera, and chased it into a city. Here it faced the main group and the two armies. They dropped yet another building on it, except this time, the Rising Liger used that opportunity to get in close and pierce the Zoid Core, finally shutting down the Genospino.

Profile:
Genospino is a large amphibious spinosaurus-type Zoid.

It creeps along the bottom of the water and, able to detect enemies with the sonar in its nose horn, is good at attacking from the water without a sound. Not only is it equipped with A-Z Torpedo Launchers that exhibit its power in underwater battles, but it also has the A-Z Long Cannons for ground battles, an A-Z High-Intensity Flamethrower in the mouth, and is also capable of powerful biting attacks using the huge jaws. It boasts fighting power befitting of its name, the Destroyer Dragon.

For the Machine Blast it flips the eight blades of the back fins forward and expands them, transforming them into a circular buzz saw. The Geno Sauzer rotating at a high speed becomes the Genocide Crusher, and cuts enemies in half.
