Well, Hasbro has concluded their online PulseCon 2020! Although the streams were removed shortly after they concluded, recaps will be coming soon. For those who couldn't be online to see it, it was mostly an official announcement of things we already knew about from leaks, now available as formal announcements. The series has been rebranded as Zoids Mega Battlers, with the slogan "Build Them To Battle!" There were a couple minor details also included in the stream, though, which we'll cover below!

 The panel opened with a CGI Liger Zero standing in front of the new Zoids logo. Our hosts discussed what the franchise had been prior to the Zoids Wild revival, with this Liger serving as an introduction to spark the memories of older fans. They then went on to discuss how the Wild kits will be handled: As 3 different classes, Beta, Mega, and Giga Class.

 These classes are based on a combination of size and part count, which reimagines the size classes set by Tomy. For example, Liger is a higher class than Gilraptor because of its part count (45 vs. 67), and Tryke is in the same class as Liger for the same reason (63 vs. 67). These classes are reflected by new price points, and will help buyers tell at a glance how complicated a kit may be. The kits will also have additional markings on the legs to help keep track of which legs go where. For most Zoids this doesn't matter, but it'll help on ones like Needle.

 As announced on CrunchyRoll earlier, the kits hit pre-orders on various websites earlier today. Several kits are available on Amazon, Entertainment Earth has all of them, and Hasbro Pulse has all of the kits available for pre-order at their intended retail price. All kit pre-orders are scheduled to release on February 9th, but fans have observed that other Hasbro Pulse products often show up in physical stores up to a month earlier than that.

- Discussion

 First off, there's been a lot of discussion about what this means for Extra Large (XL) Zoids. Kits like Death Rex and Genospino. It's too early to say that these kits won't appear as a new class later, and it wouldn't make much sense to announce a class during the stream when it has no products publicly revealed yet. It's also possible they'll end up in the Giga Class, at a higher price point. Death Rex has almost the exact same number of parts as Wild Liger.

 There's also been some discussion regarding the changes to the molds. New product photos revealed quite a few with the Tryke. We discussed these changes with other Zoids in an earlier post, complete with comparison photos. While some have observed that Needle looks like all of its points have been rounded down, this is actualy an issue with the TakaraTomy product photos being sharpened for Cool Factor. The Tomy Scorpear has the same blunted points.

 All figures will have the following changes: Eyes pre-assembled and attached to the head, two-tone body colors, and additional pilot figures based on the anime pilots. The official product still shows stats for the Beta Class Zoids, and even includes a Rider Role. Boxes have been reimagined, and each kit will come with a playmat for the Battler aspect.

 Triceradogos Changes:
 Our newest updated Zoid Design! The Tryke reimagines how Triceradogos works. Instead of the huge spike coming out of its forehead, the entire frill shield moves forward, with the two horns attached to the top. There's been mixed reception about this change, but personally, I find it more fitting of the Triceratops stereotypes. I'll categorize the changes below.

 Blue: The horns are now attached to the frill itself.

 Purple: The entire frill comes forward, instead of the spike jutting out.

 Green: To accommodate this change, the spike has been redesigned from the ground up to look like a mechanicam rail.

 Red: Additional mechanical parts have been aded behind the head to flesh out that space, now that the rail sits higher than the spike. A result of its smaller size.

 We know Hasbro has made some announcements recently regarding the Zoids Wild Series, but the franchise is also getting a 20 minute panel at Hasbro's PulseCon. Which, due to current limitations, is being streamed live on youtube at 10:50 ET on the 26th. If you're interested in other Hasbro brands, the con will begin on the 25th at 11 AM ET.  A month before the Wild Liger is scheduled for release, Kotobukiya has already announced a Kotobukiya Direct exclusive of the kit! The Wild Liger Guren, based on the CoroCoro 100 Limited of the motorized kit, is scheduled to release in December for 10,800 yen. Because it's a Koto Exclusive, we won't be seeing any discounted prices from AmiAmi, HLJ, etc. who won't be getting the kit. You'll need to order through another service like White Rabbit Express or From Japan to get this elusive beauty.

 A blog article from LABO goes over some specifics about the kit. The Liger will have a purple Wild Blast flame, translucent purple Zoid Key, and a custom painted Arashi based on his runaway state in the Zoids Wild anime. The kit will also include clear purple eyes. Although there are not yet photos on the blog, the Guren will come with gold chrome claws, fangs, and mane claws. These can be mixed with the basic Wild Liger to create the "Awakened Wild Liger"!

 Kotobukiya has posted a blog entry for the HMM Lightning Saix Marking Plus Ver. Although the kit uses the original box art, the blog does go on to say that Mercy's next original artworks will include the Pteras Bomber, Geno Breaker, Wild Liger Guren, and Gun Sniper Wild Weasel Spec. This kit will be released on September 17th, for 5,200 yen.

 The blog also announced rereleased for the HMM Command Wolf Repackage Ver., Dark Horn, and Death Stinger. A twitter post following soon after announced that the Liger Zero Jager Unit "Marking Plus" would be released.

 Kotobukiya has announced their next recolor kit, the HMM Gun Sniper Wild Weasel Spec.! It's scheduled for a January 2021 release, for 4,800 yen. This recolor kit will include a new blue color combined with silver armor, providing a color scheme much more accurate to the NJR release of the kit. The legs will come in multiple sprue colors, meaning you can have blue legs, silver legs, or a mix of the two, as illustrated in the LABO article.

 The kit of course comes with the WW unit, as its name implies. Parts for the normal Gun Sniper are included, if you prefer just the booster look. Like most other kit revamps, it comes with a greatly expanded decal sheet. For those who are wondering about the jump in price, Kotobukiya has been quite honest about the price being impacted by the current state of the world. They specified that even if they removed the WW unit, the price would only be different by a few hundred yen, so they felt going with the complete item was the best choice.

 An article posted by Crunchy Roll discusses a recent Hasbro announcement regarding the Zoids franchise. The article introduced Tanks (Gannontoise) and Ruin (Gilraptor), two "Mega Battler" packs (model kits) that'll be released by Hasbro. These kits are listed at a retail price of $19.99, which is almost $10 less than their Japanese counterparts (retail $30), with both kits being released on February 9th, 2021. Kits are recommended for ages 8 and up.

 As we already knew, Hasbro kits will include figures of the pilot characters that they have in the show, making all Hasbro kits distinct from the Japanese release. They will also have two-toned bodies instead of black, and a few will have mold changes. They'll be available at most major retailers, and also available for pre-order on HasbroPulse.com starting September 26th at 5:00 PM ET. More information will be revealed in the Zoids panel at Pulse Con, on September 26th, 10:50am ET.

 Aside from toy news, the article also announces that the remaining Zoids Wild (Hasbro dub) episodes will be released on Netflix on October 1st. All in all, lots of exciting news!

 The new Liger-type Zoid thats been teased lately is finally up on the TakaraTomy Mall. Welcome the Burning Liger, scheduled to release October 24th for 2,500 Yen! This brand new kit marks a change in the design scheme of Zoids Wild Zoids. Not only does it include a cockpit, but it also introduces a new gimmick: The Core Drive System. This weapon type draws power directly from the core, and in the model kit's case, will mean a fully motorized weapon set.

 These weapons can be mixed and matched, and will function on any other Zoid that includes the CDS design scheme. The ZW45 Burning Liger will not come with the Impact Gatling, which will instead be sold separately or in a set.

 Burning Liger was also shown off in CoroCoro Comic, where additional Core Drive weapons were previewed (not shown on the online article). The whole kit, including box and instructions, was shown off on TakaraTomy's "3 Big Boys Toys Special Program" stream! Takara Tomy also posted some fresh out of the box photos of the kit.

 A medium-sized Zoid, and the first lion species of the Imperial Army. It was developed to compete with the Republic's new Zoids. It has a lightly armored frame, large claws, and is equipped with several small weapons. It's also equipped with the Z-O Visor, which allows the pilot to draw out the power of the Zoid at their own timing, and its strong limbs allows it to fight nimbly in combat. The Blow Claw has been significantly modified to give it a stronger impact against enemy Zoids. The Core Drive System (CDS) was developed to convert the energy of the core to use as a power source for the weapons, making the Burning Liger the first Zoid to use the CDS in the Imperial Army. It's possible to equip Core Drive Weapons (CDW), which are compatible with the CDS using the rail on the back.

 Immediately following ZW45 is the ZW46 Core Drive Weapon "Impact Gatling". This weapon is scheduled for release on October 24th for 1,000 yen. This is the first CDS (Core Drive System) weapon, and will be compatible with any CDS Zoid going forward.  A system developed by the Imperial Army that converts a Zoid's core energy into power for its weapons. Zoids can be equipped with a variety of Core Drive Weapons (CDW) by using the common, standardized back rail.

 An automatic weapon developed exclusively as a weapon for the Burning Liger, the first machine of the Imperial Army. It's capable of converting energy from the core inside of a conversion engine, and then firing it as ion-convergent bullets.

 By equipping the Burning Liger with this weapon's excellent, instantaneous power, the CDW can be used to further increase its combat power. It fires ion-convergent rounds that use converted core energy, making powerful artillery possible from a medium range. The Burning Liger can withstand the weight of the Impact Gatling because of the power cylinders that reinforce its legs.

 Rounding off the Burning Liger releases, ZW47 is a combined set. You can buy both the Burning Liger and the Impact Gatling in the same purchase with this item, scheduled to be released on October 24th for 3,500 yen.

 The gorgeous Republican colored Gilraptor LC is now up on the TakaraTomy Mall! This kit is scheduled for an October 24th release, for 3,000 yen. It features white armor and a possibly metallic-blue frame, and includes the A-Z Laser Gun and A-Z Impact Laser Gun in silver, the only non-limited release of this weapon so far.  A Deinonychus Zoid that slashes enemies with the large claws on its feet, and the third claw on its back, the "Wing Shotel". The Gilraptor LC (Laser Custom) is a custom machine that's equipped with an additional A-Z Laser Gun and A-Z Impact Laser Gun, allowing it to provide support fire from the rear. By connecting the two weapons, you can also make an A-Z Long Range Laser Gun, which can be fired from a long distance. It's also capable of moving at high speeds with its superior spring-loaded legs and the Jet Boosters on its back. It has a Head Radar with highly developed sensory function on the top of its head, which allows it to coordinate with multiple units to detect enemy movements and ensure that they're killed.

Liger The Arthur is available through their online webstore for 3,910 yen. Some of you may remember the last CoroCoro Premier sale, which featured the Death Rex Purple Dragon Form for 8,250 yen. While that kit is still available, CoroCoro Premier is also offering a Zoids Wild Liger The Arthur + Death Rex Purple Dragon Form Special Set for 12,160 yen. So if you missed the Death Rex, and want to pick up both Zoids now, consider this set!  The Art of HMM has been released, and is already arriving at buyers homes! To recap some of content posted recently, the official twitter account mentioned that the book includes a discussion corner with the creators of HMM and a checklist. They also posted the some zoomed in photos, so you can get a better look at some of the art digitally. They've posted Death Stinger, Gun Sniper LS, Iron Kong SS, Liger Zero, Sturm Tyrann Set, Shadow Fox, Liger Zero EM, and Lightning Saix.

 Zoids Wild Zero has posted some more concepts, including an Electra Comparison, the jungle and Zero Grizis' Giant Cocoon, Joshua Conrad's Metallized State, and Dr. Land's New State.

- Anime Website Update!

 The official anime website has also updated to include many more characters as well as many more Zoids. It also gives names to some of the Zoids that previously didn't have unique names, like the Fang Tiger Aldridge Spec.

- Zoids Wild Zero Ending Video!

 The ending them for Zoids Wild Zero has been posted to youtube, in the form of a short-size video.

 Zoids Official announced the start of a new Zoids Wild Infinity Blast Manga, which will be released through the Switch News feed! This is a full color comic based in the Zoids Wild series. We're looking forward to see how it progresses.

 Revolver posted a new blog post, detailing the Saber Liger, the most recently liger variant to appear in the EX-ZERO side story. It discusses the build, and also confirms that Saber Liger is indeed inspired by the older Zoid, the Saberlion.

 The Zoids Wild 2 manga is concluding, and the artist Moritya posted some sample pages from the chapter. It'll be interesting to see what comes after this manga!

 Takara Tomy has posted an announcement for a My Zoids Contest 2021! The placeholder page is here, and if it's anything like the last one, it'll include three categories with various rare items as prizes.

 Zoids BCH's twitter has posted two new large card scans, the Zero Phantoth Nacht and Liger The Arthur Chaos.

 You've probably already heard about this all over social media, but a couple week ago, a whole slew of Zoids instructions surfaced on Hasbro's Customer Care website. This included large images of the box arts, names, and designs of several of the Zoids, including: Tanks (Gannontoise), Alpha Shadow (Hunter Wolf), Tryke (Triceradogos), Liger (Wild Liger), Ruin (Gilraptor), Needle (Scorpear), Pincers (Kuwaga), and Rapterrix (Raptor). Zoids were divided into 3 classes: Giga, Mega, and Beta.

 The instructions included manga-style artwork done by Moritya himself, the artist of the Zoids Wild and Zoids Wild 2 mangas. Much of this artwork is brand new, which was an exciting development. To improve playability, the boxes for these kits fold out into a playmat, which can be used for a wrestling game. Who doesn't love pitting their Zoids against each other? Besides Arashi

 1. Start with Zoids battler on the orange hexagon with all feet on the mat.

 2. Ready, Set, Unleash! Knock your opponent's battler off the mat to score 1 point. Having two or more feet off the mat means the battler has been knocked off.

 3. First battler to 3 points wins the match!

 Aside from that, all kits have continued the trend from last year's leaks, with each kit's body color being divided into 2 colors. The eyes are pre-attached, and with beautiful artwork and every Zoid getting a pilot figure, these are considerably different from their Japanese counterparts.  TakaraTomy has been posting a large number of Zero Grizis customs to fill out the summer vacation! This is split up between youtube videos and posts by Zoids Official over on Twitter. So far we have the following creations, some of which can be created in the upcoming Zoids Wild: Infinity Blast game for the Nintendo Switch.

 Name: Zero Grizis Ikadzuchi
 Concept: A form that specializes in combat using modified close-range weapons, mainly weapons obtained from the defeated Genospino.

 Name: Zero Grizis Death Bone
 Concept: (None)

 Name: Grand Rizis
 Concept: We've unearthed a hideously powerful-looking Zoid!

 Name: Blue Buster Grizis
 Concept: Members of an organization performed digital remodeling simulations, and modified a Zero Grizis based on those remodeling plans.

 Name: Zero Grizis Ver. CAMO
 Concept: We aimed to remodel it based on the world view of ZOIDS, as well as the highly designed product.
