- ZW0 Zoid: Beast Liger

Pilot(s): Leo Conrad
Primary Army: Unaffiliated
Blast Type: Evo Blast

Beast Liger is the first main protagonist of the series, serving as Leo Conrad's Zoid. Like many ligers, it's treated as a rare species, and displays exceptional strength and hidden abilities that aid in its repeated victories. Like many other Zoids in the series, it's also treated as having a mind of its own, although this is usually used in a "Player Cannot Enter This Zone" manner, forcing the team to continue on foot.

  • The Beast Liger's evolution from the Proto Beast Liger is noted by Luc to be the product of Dr. Bowman's life-long research, and was a process initiated by Sally's pendant.

History

Introduction, Episode 1 ~ 2

At first, the Proto Beast Liger served as a simple courier. It was a Zoid that Leo Conrad had discovered, excavated, and restored himself. However, when Leo saved a young girl named Sally, he learned that she had been separated from her grandfather, and that she was being pursued by the Imperial Army. Although Leo tried his best to defend her, the Proto Beast Liger was simply unequipped to handle the Empire's Cannon Bull. When the Liger was about to be defeated, Sally used the pendant to activate an evolutionary process that transformed the Proto Beast Liger into the Beast Liger. After their victory, Leo and Buzz agreed to accompany Sally on her journey to reunite with her grandfather.

Republican Army Involvement, Episode 3 ~ 4

The Beast Liger would continue to be hunted for its association with Sally Land. However, after a particularly bad run in with the Red Reaper, an ace Imperial pilot and his red Sniptera, the group found themselves in an archeological compound under the temporary protection of the Republic. They were ultimately joined by Jo Aysel and her Raptoria.

Beast Liger's Capture, Episode 7, Beast Liger IC

Leo and Beast Liger would later fight against the Red Reaper a second time, only this time, fell over a cliff during the fight. Leo was knocked out of the Beast Liger's cockpit, and the Liger itself was temporarily captured by the Imperial Army. The group was given Imperial uniforms by Clive Dias of the Republic, and used them to get close to the base to release Jaminga, creating enough of a distraction to capture the Beast Liger.

Fight For The Fossil, Episode 11

The Beast Liger was involved in a dispute to destroy the final piece of the Genospino's fossilized form before the Empire could get their hands on it. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to stop them.

Fight Against The Genospino, Episode 12

Though not part of the army, Leo agreed to join the fight against the Genospino. He was stationed on the walls of Mosaic, along with Byrne and his Gatling Fox. Once the Genospino was lured into place, they fired on the bottom of the two walls to collapse them on the Genospino. Unfortunately, this did little damage, and the battle spiraled out of control. The Beast Liger attempted to stop the Genospino, only to be slammed into the ground. Its armor was torn from its body and the Liger was severely damaged, almost dying. Though Leo tried to repair it, he couldn't even remove all of the armor. A sharp metal scrap piece jutted through its shoulder armor, and Liger wouldn't allow them to remove it because it was too painful.

Reawakening, Episode 13

Though it appeared that the Beast Liger had died, its armor decaying and turning to stone, it still had a faint core beat. Once Leo and Sally activated the Regeneration Cube, however, Liger awoke, and in a zombie-like state, limped into the hidden lake of Mosaic City. There it became encased in a metal block of sheets and pipes, and sank to the bottom. It would later be revived as the Proto Beast Liger, and later yet evolve into the Rising Liger.

- Beast Liger (Impact Cannon)

Pilot(s): Leo Conrad
Primary Army: Unaffiliated

This unnamed variation appeared in Episode 7, when the Liger was captured and taken to Zagato Base, which was known for its weapons development. During their attempted repair and escape, they equipped the Beast Liger with these two Impact Cannons. Unfortunately, when it ran out of ammo, the Liger ejected the base. Which, on the plus side, meant that they weren't wanted for stealing military equipment on top of everything else.
