- Notable Facts

  • Collins remembered the sunsets on Planet Zi, and thought fondly of his younger days, when he flew around on his black Zoid. Though its type was unconfirmed, he was known for disobeying orders, causing his promotions to be delayed, because all he wanted to do was fly with his Zoid.

  • Collins was revealed to suffer from an unnamed chronic disease, and after a relapse, required assistance to get around. By the end of the episode he'd passed away, before being able to hear that they'd be able to revive the Genospino.

  • The last piece of the Genospino fossil was found in Aegis valley.

  • Byrne was asked to rescue the construction workers at the dam.

  • The stun grenades of the Gatling Fox creates a blinding light that will buy the fox 30 seconds to escape. This can be circumvented by turning off the exterior monitors.

    - Sequence of Events

  • Giller, learning that Collins' chronic illness had relapsed, went to see him. He asked to be taken outside, even though as a First Generation, the air wasn't good for him. They reminisced about the old days, and Collins expressed his belief in the Genospino's power as a deterrant of war. He stated that he trusted Giller to see the plan through. This would be their last conversation before Collins' death, and on his way out, Giller saw Aldridge arriving.

  • Land discovered the last remaining piece of the Genospino. He ordered it to be transported back, but on the way, the temperature of the parts shot through the roof and started melting through the container. When the container was dropped by the affected Kuwagas, it started a forest fire. However, because the energy of the fossil affected the systems of the Kuwagas carrying the container, their sensors weren't working and they lost track of where it had been dropped.

  • As the group was out on their boat, Aysel received a direct order from Dias. She was to enter the burning forest, find the fossil, and destroy it.

  • Byrne discovered that the Empire was moving through the forest.

  • As Aysel and the others searched the forest, they encountered a fire storm (firenado) and braced to withstand the impact.

  • Byrne found the construction workers who'd been tending to a nearby dam. He announced that he'd been asked by their families to rescue them, then guided them to an underground drainage tunnel that lead to the bottom of the mountain. After leading them there, he met up with Sally and Buzz, who informed him that Leo and Aysel went to find the fossil. Having seen it, he went back into the forest and found their Zoids battling the Empire. The stun grenades allowed them all to escape, and he led them to find the fossil, in exchange for a hefty fee from the Republic.

  • The energy of the fossil was too intense for them to get closer. Giller tried to drive the group back with his Sniptera, while Leo aimed for the fossil with Beast Liger's Evo Blast. However, Giller countered him at every turn. Ultimately, the Empire escaped with the fossil.

  • Once restored, the fossil was equipped to the Genospino, meaning the Zoid could finally be resurrected. However, Aldridge showed up, and announced that he had been appointed the new pilot of the Genospino.
