- 3: The Flightless Lion


 Buzz takes everyone to a safe region that was once a no-mans land, free of both the Empire and Jaminga. However, the Empire has taken over the region since then, using it as a testbed. Leo must help fight their way out, after the Empire, deeming them fugitives, tries to capture the group.

- Notable Facts

  • Sally's pendant contains a map, with lights indicating the location of each Zi-Forming Terminal. In order to activate the Zi-Forming Device correctly, each terminal would need to be activated, so Bowman made Sally promise to seek out each location. Unfortunately, the locations are too vague to know exactly where the terminals are located.

  • Leo mentions the Sniptera is one of a kind. This may be referring to Giller's Sniptera specifically. Even though the standard colors for the model kit are red, during the time of Zoids Wild Zero, all supporting lore describes the red Sniptera as being exclusively Giller's machine.

  • Giller's Sniptera is shown using flare countermeasures, which aren't standard equipment for Snipteras.

  • The Empire put out a report that Leo and his crew were fugitives who carried out criminal espionage within Imperial Territory, in an attempt to have them captured by other Imperial soldiers.

      Sniptera is a medium-sized Pteranodon-type Zoid that specialises in sniping from the air. It is the Empire Army's cutting-edge flying Zoid, with high flight capabilities thanks to its high-output Jet Engines and customised lightweight Cutter Wings. It attacks enemy Zoids from the sky with the gatlings and missile launchers under its wings. It is also equipped with a Smart Bomb and is sometimes used as a bomber. Apparently custom units equipped with high-sensitivity radar for data gathering have also been sighted. Sniptera... what a tough foe!
