The above concepts show off Sally's core character design. |
When Sally was migrating to earth on board the Science Ship, along with her grandfather, she was one of the last two people awake. However, when the ship was attacked by rebels from the Empire, she and her grandfather were forced to flee. They arrived a year before the current story, discovering that the Zi Forming Device had failed to properly activate. Bowman immediately began researching this, but when the Empire discovered that he'd arrived on Earth, they tried to capture him and steal his technology. He gave the culmination of his research, a mysterious pendant, to Sally. She fled in a separate direction as her grandfather tried to leave the Empire away.
After arriving in Saga City, Sally was attacked by Jaminga. She was rescued by Leo, who even went so far as to defy the Empire to keep her safe. With his Liger quickly losing the fight, Sally bet everything on flinging her grandfather's pendant at the broken Liger. Its light enveloped Leo's Zoid, transforming it into an entirely new machine. Sally noted this Zoid to be the Beast Liger, and strangely, after basking in the glow of the pendant, she realized that even she had been affected. She no longer needed the mask she'd previously required to breath in Earth's atmosphere.
Sally set out with Leo and Buzz to find the various terminals. Using the map generated by her pendant, she was able to help the group locate the general region of each terminal. If they could activate every terminal, they could save the world from the failed Zi-Forming. She discovered the first one in a town seemingly frozen in time, and realized that the Zoid Genes in Leo's body, caused by the metallization when the Beast Liger transformed, allowed him to activate the terminals. The group was then attacked by the Empire, with Luc leading the charge. He captured Aysel and Buzz, and threatened to kill them if they didn't hand Sally over. At first, she agreed to this, but was saved when the town returned to its original state, giving the group an opening to escape.
As the dust of the Genospino's attack settled, Mosaic suffered a radical change. The environment began to metalize, and Sally's pendant reacted, alerting her to the fact that a terminal must've been located under Mosaic all along. Only, the rampant destruction had caused it to awaken in a malfunctioning state. She, along with Leo, was able to locate the terminal and reactivate it, restoring Mosaic. In doing so, the dying Beast Liger was summoned to the lake, where it became encased in metal. Sally stood by as gold light shined from within, and the Liger was reborn as the rejuvenated Proto Beast Liger.
