Grizis is making the rounds, with a remodeling example posted in CoroCoro Comic and a brand new commercial that shows off this Zoid's Zero Blast, Zi End! The Zero Blast effects look great, and the commercial has some interesting implications. We'll see if the anime matches up!
CoroCoro has also announced the Zero Grizis to be the basis for their next CoroCoro 100 Limited, the Zero Grizis Dark Form! As usual, there'll only be 100 copies of this kit released through the CoroCoro Silver Peel campaign. There are so many recolored parts to this Zoid that it may well be an entirely new kit instead of the typical parts swap. We will see when they start hitting Yahoo Japan! In the mean time, Zoids Official has posted two new images of this monster.
A new campaign has started in Japan. Starting on August 8th, fans who purchase 3,000 yen or more worth of Zoids Wild items at participating stores will receive the A-Z Laser Gun (top left) and A-Z Impact Laser Gun (top right), which can be combined together to create the A-Z Long Range Laser Gun Metallic Purple Version (bottom). This is our first purple weapon, and the images look like they have photoshopped colors, so we'll have to wait and see what the final version looks like. Either way, it's neat to have new colors for Zoids Wild's combinable weapons!
Kotobukiya has posted our first look at the box art for the HMM Dibison Marking Plus Ver.! This entirely new art features the Dibison running alongside the Old Republic Godos, with some very cool light and texture effects.
Kotobukiya has just announced a Repackage Version of the original HMM Geno Breaker! Like the Geno Saurer Repackage, this includes the updated pieces used on the Raven Geno Saurer, meaning it can take a proper CPG stance. It'll also come with new decals based on Ritz' Geno Breaker and colorless clear eye parts in addition to the clear red. The kit will be released in November, for 9,200 yen.
The blog also mentions that the HMM Death Stinger will be receiving another rerelease soon! Just as a quick note as well, many people were confused about whether the Repackage comes with the Blade Liger blade shown in the photos. No, it does not. It was just included in the review photos as a shoutout to the final chapters of Official Fan Book 2~
Kotobukiya has announced a new decal campaign! This campaign is planned to span the summer, and if you buy 5,000 yen or more at participating stores during this period you'll receive a special decal sheet. It's based off of the decal sheet that was included in HISTORY OF ZOIDS, an exceptionally rare mail-order item released in 1985, which often sells at auction for hundreds of dollars. It's cool to have a more obtainable release of this sheet!
CoroCoro posted the cover for their August issue, which shows a tiny image of a new Zero Grizis! This suspiciously Death-Saurer colored Zoid is listed as their next CoroCoro 100, meaning they'll only be releasing 100 of them, likely through silver peels.
Zero Grizis has received a huge amount of coverage since our last update! The kit is releasing in August 8th, for 8500 yen. It was originally estimated for July 18th, but this has been pushed back. The Zoid will be an XL size kit, with LEDs and lots of moving parts. The TakaraTomy Twitter posted a size comparison next to Omega Rex as well as Kuwaganos, Genospino, and Rising Liger. They also posted the Zero Blast!
CoroCoro has had their own coverage of the kit. An article featuring one of their diorama-style images and a twitter post with another one. A large poster was also included in CoroCoro July. You can view the kit on the TakaraTomy Mall as well as the Official website.
- Zero Grizis Info
Description: A mysterious super-giant Zoid that appeared suddenly, destroying the underground temple area. It shares a characteristic structure with Zero Phantoth, with its armour integrated with its bones and its blood vessel-like reactor lines exposed. It has guns sprouting from its entire body, hands that can manipulate gravity, Mind Horns that generate powerful electromagnetic waves which can control other Zoids, a Zoid Factor absorption device in its mouth, a Grizis Core in its body and so on, and seems to have extremely high combat abilities, but there are still many mysteries about it.
Excavation Site: Unknown
It was buried deep within an underground temple, and many Zero Phantoths were buried above it as if to protect it, so mankind never detected it at all. No others of the same species have yet been discovered, so it is a unique, enigmatic being.

Kotobukiya surprisingly posted a video featuring the build of their recent Blade Liger AB. We get a lot of kit videos for Wild, and it would be wonderful if we saw more of these for HMM in the future!
TakaraTomyToys has posted some initial product photos for the giganotosaurus-type Zoid, the ZW44 Zero Grizis! This thing looks to be a moster with bulky proportions. In a reply they also posted the old box art for the Gojulas!
Kotobukiya has announced their next MPV, the Pteras Bomber Marking Plus Ver.! It is scheduled for October 2020, for 4800 yen. This guy gets the usual treatment, with new decals and clear colorless copies of the orange parts, but in a surprising twist the article mentions it may be getting all new box art! This would be the biggest change for an MPV to date. The article also mentions that their next posts will consist of a sample of the Iron Kong Yeti, the next Repackage product announcement, and a Wild Liger test shot introduction.
The model kit page for the HMM Fire Fox has been updated with an automatic translation of the story segment and concept artwork from its instruction manual. This update was, ironically, done a couple nights ago right before they announced news on how inclusive the Art of HMM would be (read in the below news post). Now that we know we'll be getting this amazing collection of HMM goodness, I'll be holding off on posting anymore of these. Instead I'll focus on expanding the pages for information that's not mentioned on the main product pages, special release notes, etc. A special thanks to Falcarius for this one! While this is an automatic translation and will still have mistakes, it does reference some info he posted a while ago regarding the names, quotes, etc. from this story.
TakaraTomy posted a build review video of the ZW43 Zero Phantoth! It shows off the full kit, along with its Wild Blast gimmicks. It also has a few shots showing hints of the Zero Grizis in the background, which gives us a decent idea of its size (Phantoth is a large-scale Zoid, so around the size)
I've posted a first ever custom to the site! A custom of the WF kit Gilvader Modoki. Although I love starting custom projects, finishing them is... uhh, a lot rarer, haha. So for now customs are linked at the bottom of the model kits page, until such a time that there are enough to warrant their own section on the site. Hopefully more will follow later in the year! This was a great first kit to work with.
A huge update has been rolled out for the HMM Model Kit section! This section has now been updated to mirror what we've got going on with the Zoids Wild section, where every thumbnail is now clickable, even if we don't have a review for that kit. Reviews are now on a separate page, which you'll see linked at the top of each individual Zoid's page. Their main page, however, is for the official product info and includes a full stat list (almost all translations are courtesy of Falcarius!), as well as the stock images, box art, etc.
This section is still undergoing some fine tuning. We've still got a couple pages to fix and upload. A select few Zoids have story bits translated by Falcarius (Saber Tiger Gold, Blade Liger Leon, etc.) In the future I'll be posting google translated stories for the rest (each page has the appropriate warning), but this will come much later. There are also plans to update with blog entry information, relevant links, and additional promotions that aren't covered on the official pages, like Jager's special painted claws.
CoroCoro has revealed the final boss of Zoids Wild, Zero Grizis! It is one of two Zoids that begin a new type, with a unique appearance. This begins the return of ancient Zoids, and we can assume that the Grizis is going to be a massive kit. Hopefully rivaling the large Zoids from older lines!
"Zoids are roughly divided into two "seeds." Evolution Zoids, such as the Rising Liger, and Weapon Zoids, such as the Omega Rex! But now... "ZERO", a new species that strikes out to challenge those two species, has been launched from ancient times!"
- The Third Faction
Through these two Zoids we've learned a lot about the upcoming third faction. We'll list them all below.
⚫ Zero Zoids have been excavated from ancient times, with the Phantoth found in an underground temple. It is unclear what the true origin of these unique Zoids is!
⚫ In this new type of Zoid, armor and bone are integrated into a single form! This means that their limbs lack a skeletal base, and instead take after a purely mechanical look.
⚫ Zero Zoids are notable for their reactor cores, which aren't found in other Zoids. These cores pump a substance called Bio-Acid in the Phantoth lore through Reactor Lines, which form an arterial pattern throughout the entire body. This substance acts as an energy source for the Zoids, and it's rumored that Grizis' reactor core has enough power to destroy the planet.
⚫ Normal Z-O Visors have been replaced by unusual, circular-patterned visors. The Phantoth refers to these as eye brains.
⚫ Unusual nodules appear to stick out of the back of their heads. The Phantoth refers to these as Mind Horns, and they're present on both of the existing Zero Zoids.
Just before we saw the major reveal for the Zero Greizis, the Zero Phantoth was announced! Originally, we heard of this Zoid just being called the "Phantoth", but it follows the same scheme: White with purple trim, unusual eyes, horns, etc. So let's get into what we know of this Zoid! You can view the images and box art for it over on the TakaraTomy Mall.
An elephant-type Zoid that suddenly appeared from an underground temple area, a land unexplored by humans. Its existence is a mystery that doesn't belong to any power. It has unique limbs, which lack a bone frame, and reactor lines that resemble blood vessels running through its entire exterior. The venom Bio-Acid flows and flickers inside of them. The destructive power of the A-Z Sling Bombs that are thrown by the Power Nose are comparable to modern-day heavy weaponry.
Excavation Site: Northwest of Continent, Underground Temple
It has been excavated several times by mankind, who discovered it by chance, but one after another those people were killed by the poison of the Bio-Acid as they worked. Therefore, it was feared as the Zoid of Taboo, and they were compelled to give up the restoration of this machine. It's said that there is no one in all of mankind that has completed its excavation.

Liger The Arthur has been officially released! This kit saw some shipping delays as a result of the pandemic, so not all arrived at their destination on time. The kit came with additional instructions, with a few story and weapon notes. A special video for it was also posted on CoroCoro Channel, featuring a customized gold Arthur!
Azure Knight
A lion-type Zoid that has been modified from the Rising Liger, as a machine used by Arthur Lancelot. It specializes in charging attacks using the A-Z Arthur Lance equipped to its back. Each part, including the Arthur Armor and Arthur Frill, has had a special coating applied to reduce the damage from enemy attacks and improve its defensive power. Its Evo Blast, Gungnir, uses the penetrating power of the A-Z Arthur Lance and strikes at the enemy in a straight forward line. The special shape of the A-Z Arthur Lance also supports sweeping attacks.
Arthur Armor An armor with a special coating for increased durability. It has excellent stealth capabilities.
Arthur Frill Silver frills with a special coating that increases their durability. They also protect the rider.
Arthur Helm A special helmet that can intercept physical attacks from enemy Zoids. It's said that the dome on top of the head, used to protect the rider, expresses its loyalty to its rider.
A-Z Arthur Lance A high-penetration lance that can concentrate the force of impact onto a single point. With the edges protruding in all directions, it's also possible to land slashes on the enemy when swinging it downwards.
A-Z Machinegun An artificially-made machinegun. It can mow down small Zoids.
Claw Guard Armor that reduces the impact of the claws when they make contact with an enemy. By extending forward, it's also possible to land a strong impact pinpoint.
High-Performance Radiation Fins A part that instantly releases the heat accumulated in the body.
Impact Revolver A magazine that gives explosive power when using the A-Z Arthur Lance.
Rising Unit A back unit designed for arming and strengthening the Beast Liger.
Spear Tail Armor for the tail that is designed for physical attacks. The lighter weight makes it easier to swing around.
The TakaraTomy Twitter acc held a brief twitter campaign, in which 3 lucky winners who retweeted and followed the account would win a Wild Liger Crystal and Assault Boost Unit Clear Ver.
