History

First Appearance, Episode 7

Marcus joined Schwarz in the stand off at Red River. He was eager for the Empire to wage war. Schwarz on the other hand was determined not to start the war. Prozen carefully coached Marcus on how Schwarz was too... inflexible- for what the Empire needed. With Marcus being so much more obedient, he offered to promote him to a Major after the war. Under this guidance, Marcus acquired a Republican Pteras and turned it over to the Desert Arcobaleno Gang, who'd been looking for a way back into the Empire. He asked them to attack the Empire during the standoff, making it appear as if the Republic had fired the first shot. Only, the careless pilot flew towards Empire territory, so the plan was rather obvious. Nevertheless, both sides were tense, and ready to attack.

His plan would've worked had Fire Bridge not been destroyed right at the pivotal moment. Knowing that reserve forces wouldn't be arriving for the Empire, but may show up for the Republic, Schwarz ordered his men to withdraw while they still had the time to do so. Marcus was rather displeased about this. He blamed the attack on the bandit gang, claiming no personal knowledge of it and refusing to shelter them from the consequences.

Unit Advance, Episode 12

Marcus was reluctant to move through a sand storm due to the risk of Republic sleeper Zoids. Prozen informed him that they'd already been taken care of by Raven, allowing him to advance.

Fall of Kronos, Episode 13

By this point Marcus was enjoying a fair bit of power. He was directing a unit of his own, and chastised Karl for falling behind, which he blamed on the supply unit. Marcus was ordered to support Raven on the battlefield. Though he was quick to use this as an excuse not to wait for Karl, he was still frustrated with how disrespectful Raven was to him, and went about his plan in his own way.

He informed Karl that he was to move on to the Mt. Ossa base rather than offering support at Kronos, but invited him to watch the battle, which he accepted. Marcus decided that after their initial barrage they'd charge right in with the Molga unit. Though Karl warned him that they had no idea where Raven was at, Marcus shrugged this off, saying he doubted that Prozen would care if Raven were killed, so long as they won the fight. A fight that proved far too easy. Karl tried to warn him that it may be a trap, but this warning came too late. Kronos detonated, rigged to explode and take a large number of imperial soldiers with it.

Advance, Episode 15

Marcus continued to be frustrated by the slow advance of the Imperial Army, slowed even further by the rubble of Kronos Fortress. He refused to acknowledge this as intentional, but nevertheless joined Schwarz as they marched ahead. At the next base, a Gojulas was mobilized. This was unexpected and terrifying; the Zoid easily wiped out entire groups of Zoids. When Schwarz called for a retreat, Marcus was furious, but obeyed.

Final Stand, Episode 17 ~ 18

Karl Schwarz and Marcus advanced together towards New Helic City, drawing the Republic's attention on land. Oddly, the Gojulas turned back mid fight, leaving them to deal with the unit of Command Wolves.

By the time they reached Mt. Ossa it was oddly quiet. The base had been evacuated, and though Schwarz once again warned Marcus of a trap, he was tunnel visioned on the glory of seizing Mt. Ossa. He ordered his men into the base, and even when the volcano started to erupt he rebuked them for trying to leave. He died there, a senseless and avoidable death.
