- Notable Facts

  • This was the first episode to add the new introduction that'd hang around for the rest of the series, following the opening.

In the far reaches of the milky way, on the planet Zi, there exists metallic life forms with superior fighting skills. These are the Zoids. Warriors by nature, Zoids have been used as the ultimate weapons in an ongoing war between the imperial forces and the republicans of planet Zi. A young boy named Bang, born and raised on Zi, holds a strong fascination with Zoids. He develops a special friendship with a Zoid called Sieg, who is able to fuse with another Zoid, thereby enhancing its fighting ability. He also meets a girl named Fine, with whom he starts a journey of discovery to find out about her mysterious past.

  • In this episode, Marcus marched ahead because he'd received orders from Prozen to provide support to Raven's Saber Tiger. The plan was for Marcus to attach Chronos Fortress alone, with Schwarz then moving on to the Republic's final defense force at Mount Osa. If they had marched on Chronos together, the Republic may have tried to call a ceasefire. However, Prozen didn't want that. He wanted for them to think they still stood a chance of fending off the Empire, so that the battle could end in a bloody slaughter at New Helic City.

  • Raven is given almost complete freedom in the Empire. He answers only to Prozen, and is otherwise permitted to fight wherever, and whenever he pleases.

Comments: The Shield Liger bouncing back was in the dub but the 1-2 seconds before it were not. Not sure why it was even removed. In Scene 2 the Zaber Fang does not fully lift its head in the dub version.
