The Geno Breaker is the next step in the Geno Saurer's development path, improving on the Zoid's overall performance. In spite of how clumsy its equipment makes it look, the right pilot proved that this Zoid could be a terrifying force on the battlefield.  [1]

- Concept Art

This concept art, shown off in CoroCoro depicts an early concept of what would later become the Geno Breaker. It has several key differences, including the optional Geno Saurer head guns, different blade and shield design, and stacked cannons on the back.

- Military History

ZAC 2100, July, Ritz Runstedt's Geno Breaker, Battle at Hesperides Lake

The Geno Breaker was created as a result of Ritz Runstedt's request to improve the combat performance of the Geno Saurer. While it was deemed a superior weapon over all, it lacked the agility and overall strength to directly confront the Blade Liger. His personal Geno Saurer, the original test machine, was used as a basis for this equipment upgrade, and was reborn as the Geno Breaker.

Almost immediately afterwards the Breaker was given orders to mobilize with the goal of saving retreating Guylos allies in the south of Europa. They were attempting to retreat over Hesperides Lake by crossing a large bridge. The Breaker arrived only two days after being given dispatch orders, well before other reinforcements could arrive. It confronted the Republican troops, who would have otherwise achieved an absolute victory over the Empire's forces. The Breaker alone managed to hold off the Republican troops long enough for its allies to escape. The Breaker then destroyed the bridge, ensuring that the Republic could not follow.

ZAC 2100, September, Ritz Runstedt's Geno Breaker, Confronting the Destroyer Corps

After the Guylos Empire's retreat from Rob Base, the Helic Republic mobilized the Destroyer Corps along with 40,000 combat Zoids. The Empire mobilized their forces in waves to intercept the Republic's march towards Nixie Base. However, they suffered massive losses to the modified Ultra Saurus. Eventually, they decided on small, high-speed forces risking their lives to get close and engage the Republic forces in close-range combat, where they might be able to bring down the Ultra. Ritz Runstedt was among these forces, piloting his Geno Breaker.

ZAC 2100, October, Ritz Runstedt's Geno Breaker, Battle Against the True Organoid

Ritz reached the Ultra in seven days, calculating that the Ultra Saurus would take Nixie Base by the next morning. His attack on the Ultra Saurus was intercepted by Arthur Borgmann and his Blade Liger. In the middle of the fight, the two soldiers stumbled upon a Zoid graveyard, created by the runaway Death Stinger. This nesting sight, set above an ancient ruin, housed the Death Stinger's countless offspring.

The Geno Breaker refused to continue fighting the Blade Liger, and instead Ritz focused its sights on the Death Stinger. It took both him and Arthur to break the E-Shield, and when they finally hit the Death Stinger, it mutated into a new, vicious form. The Breaker was struck down while frozen from the recoil of firing the particle cannon at maximum power. Immediately after, Arthur Borgmann's Blade Liger suffered a hit that caused fatal core damage.

Arthur Borgmann managed to save both of them from the Stinger's particle cannon using the Liger's E-Shield, but it had precious few seconds to live. The Breaker recovered, and realizing how little time they had, trusted Arthur's hint to follow. Ritz grabbed the Liger's Laser Blade, which had been torn off during the battle, and followed Arthur as he used his Zoid to shield the Breaker from the Death Stinger's assault. After the Liger fell, Ritz cleared the remaining distance and drove the Laser Blade into the Death Stinger's head, ending the battle.

In the end, the Ultra Saurus overtook Nixie Base. Its gunfire was the sign that the Guylos Empire had lost the Western Continent War. Even with the knowledge that he had saved Planet Zi, Ritz felt a horrible remorse for abandoning his mission to destroy the Ultra. He set out with his Geno Breaker to end the OS plan, but Ritz and his Zoid were never mentioned again thereafter, and further OS Zoids would eventually surface.

- Equipment Information

- Anchor x2

Anchor x2: アンカー×2

The anchors are the movable spikes on the back of the Geno Breaker's feet. When the Zoid enters the Charged Particle Cannon firing stance the anchors slam into the ground, providing additional stability. It's a common misconception that the Geno Breaker must be stationary to fire the CPC, but this isn't true, even in the anime. It is simply for additional stability when convenient.

- Charged Particle Converter

Charged Particle Converter: 荷電粒子コンバーター×1

The Charged Particle Converter improves upon the CPC concept that the Geno Saurer is constructed around. It's installed to the top of the backpack, between the Wing Thrusters. When active, the converter provides an additional 30% to the Particle Cannon's overall power. It also allows it to fire continuously, which makes the Breaker's cannon considerably more dangerous.

- Focused Charged Particle Gun

Focused Charged Particle Gun: 集束荷電粒子砲×1

Like the Geno Saurer, the Breaker has a Focused Charged Particle Gun. Its power output is enough to destroy something of Gojulas tier at maximum power, or more than ten Zoids in a single blast. Because of the continuous firing made possible by the Charged Particle Converter it can also overwhelm conventional E-Shields such as the Blade Liger's. Recharge takes mere seconds. An issue of SGM (a magazine not related to the central lore of Zoids) mentions it containing a focusing ring that magnetically focuses the particles.

- Free Round Shield x2

Free Round Shield x2: フリーラウンドシールド×2

The Free Round Shields are placed on movable arms that are articulated in several places, allowing them to move freely around the Zoid. This makes them effective at reacting to incoming attacks from a variety of directions. They're made of a special titanium alloy and able to withstand a bombardment from Republican Zoids, including Dibison, Godos, and Cannon Tortoise.

- Hyper Killer Claws x2

Hyper Killer Claws x2: ハイパーキラークロー×2

The claws on the Geno Breaker's hands are well articulated, able to grip objects and slice through them. In the anime, the Raven Spec. is featured with these claws on a cable that allows it to reel in enemy Zoids, but this feature is exclusive to the anime (and HMM universe). The original Geno Breakers don't have this feature.

- Hyper Killer Fangs

Hyper Killer Fangs: ハイパーキラーファング×1

The Geno Breaker's teeth. While included in its list of weaponry, the fangs rarely actually see use in the series. One instance that comes to mind is when Raven uses his Breaker's teeth to bite the head off of an opposing Geno Saurer.

- Hyper Strike Claws x2

Hyper Strike Claws x2: ハイパーストライククロー×2

The Breaker's large, sharp claws. Equipped to the feet, these are most often depicted as stomping enemy Zoids.

- Laser Charging Blade

Laser Charging Blade: レーザーチャージングブレード×1

A long blade on the Geno Breaker's forehead replaces the former guns of the Geno Saurer. Normally, it stays rested against the silver crest, facing backwards. When active, the blade snaps into place along the muzzle, and glows blue.

- NZR Composite Sensor

NZR Composite Sensor: NZR複合センサー×1

The NZR Composite Sensor refers to the crest on the Geno Breaker's head. This item doesn't receive any clear explanation. It may possibly contribute to the Breaker's 3/10 search ability score in OFB3, but this is pure speculation.

- Weapon Binder x2

Weapon Binder x2: ウエポンバインダー×2

The weapon binders are several weapons compacted into a single unit. The top barrel is an AZ 140mmm Shock Gun, the lower barrel is an 80mm Beam Gun, and the slots that open on the sides are Micro Poison Missiles. The weapons attachment allows it to rotate up and down a full 360 degrees.

- Wing Thruster x2

Wing Thruster x2: ウィングスラスター×2

The Geno Breaker's breakneck speed can be attributed to its Wing Thrusters, two units that contain three thrusters each. The thrusters can lay in a perfectly stacked tower when not in use, and upon activation, fan upwards (seen to the right.) Not only do they greatly improve its maneuverability, but they also allow for long-distance jumping, which was illustrated by Raven's Geno Breaker in Zoids Guardian Force. With them, the Geno Breaker surpasses the Blade Liger's speed and maneuverability. [2]

- X Breaker x2

X Breaker x2: エクスブレイカー×2

The X-Breakers are two scissor-like blades made of a special titanium alloy, that normally sit hidden on the interior side of the Free Round Shields. When active they snap forward to snare enemy Zoids, able to slice even medium-sized Zoids in half. They're often pictured with a blue energy charge.

- Featured In Media

- Zoids Guardian Force

The Geno Breaker was prominently featured in Zoids Guardian Force as one of the many villain Zoids. It boasted over-tuned power and invincibility, until ultimately switching sides. In this series, it was piloted by Raven, whose Geno Breaker was later noted to have a white face piece, and whose eyes turned blue when his Organoid, Shadow, was fused.

- Zoids Official Fan Book

In Official Fan Book 2, the Geno Breaker is piloted by Ritz Runstedt, the original test pilot for the Geno Saurer. After reading that the Geno Saurer would not win in a direct confrontation with the Blade Liger, Ritz refused to mobilize his Zoid again until they made significant modifications. The resulting upgrade was the Geno Breaker.
