- Synergynex Collab: Fangriffon!

Our evil doom kitty from the Code Name B.U.D.D.Y. comic has finally been revealed as an upcoming model kit collaboration! This griffon-type Zoid will feature sleek glossy all-new armor, wings, three-toed paws, and nice translucent armor parts. This is our first look at the Zoid in color, as all appearances in the manga thus far have been in black and white. AmiAmi has some additional photos.

- Synergynex Collab: Wild Liger Zino!

A brand new Monster Hunter collaboration kit has been announced, the Wild Liger Zino! This kit features a radically redesigned model, with entirely new armor that coats almost the entire body themed after Zinogre from Monster Hunter. Keen observers have implied that even some of the body parts, such as the ribs may be knew. AmiAmi has some additional photos.

- Synergynex Collab: Wild Liger Gokuou!

At the same time as the Zino announcement it was revealed that there'll also be a Gokuou version, based on the subspecies of Zinogre from Monster Hunter, Stygian Zinogre.

- Synergynex Hunter Wolf Patlabor Second Model!

A second Hunter Wolf collab kit was announced, closely mirroring the first Hunter Wolf MPD. This rerelease will feature a new head design with slicked back ears and modified face armor, and will sport silver accents instead of gold as well as bright blue eyes. This is a shout out release for the collaboration comic Code Name B.U.D.D.Y., which features two Hunter Wolves, Ares and Bess, who work closely with the MPD.

- Synergynex Evangelion Box Arts!

A good while back the box arts were posted for the Unit 01 and Unit 02 kits from the Evangelion crossover, depicting backdrops that find a nice middle ground between featuring the Zoids and the collaboration mechs.

- Hunter Wolf Garo!

Figsoku posted some extra pictures of the beautiful chrome-gold Hunter Wolf Garo. Unfortunately this still seems to be venue-specific, so we'll be waiting for the second-hand market. That aside, the kit is gorgeous.

- Exhibit Collabs!

A page has been made for the Great Extinction Exhibit collab kits, the Redonda Gabrigator and the Dimepulsar Rare Bone Ver. 2025. Hobby Watch also did a review of the special kits while Takara Tomy Toys posted a video.

- Code Name B.U.D.D.Y.!

For those unaware, Code Name B.U.D.D.Y. has been getting posted each month over on Hero Bunko, which includes the first chapter and the second-to-latest chapter available for free. It's a cute story worth checking out!

- Monster Hunter Box Art Customs!

SigemikanZ, maker of many of the customs used in official product photos, has posted photos of the Gatling Fox Mizutsune and Knuckle Kong Rajang. These customs were used for the box arts of the two Monster Hunter collab kits, which have just released!

- Hunter Wolf Garo!

We've gotten some pictures of the Hunter Wolf Garo collab by Synergenex, and man, this thing is beautiful! The wolf features gold chrome armor with chrome silver accent pieces and red eyes. It also includes special Garo-themed stickers. The kit will be up for pre-order at the Garo 20th Anniversary Exhibit for 7,700 yen. We aren't certain if it'll be released elsewhere later, but the article by Dengeki Hobby noted that it might be sold on the event site later. The wolf also has its own custom lore.

In ancient times, a shining golden Zoid Core flew to Earth from Planet Zi and resonated with the will of Garo, giving birth to the Golden Mechanical Beast. This wolf-type Zoid, clad in golden Soul Metal, was passed down to its guardians as the reincarnation of the Legend of the Golden Wolf.

- Redonda Gabrigator & Dimepulsar Rare Bone

Two new Synergenex kits have been announced as part of the Great Extinction Exhibition, scheduled to be held at the National Museum of Nature and Science. The venue will open on November 1st and run until February 23rd, 2026. The new kits are Redonda Gabrigator Rare Bone Ver. 2025 and Dimepulsar Rare Bone Ver. 2025. It seems 'Rare Bone' has become a label applying to these museum kits in general, with these two kits featuring particularly unique color schemes. The exhibit, which is focusing on the five mass extinction events throughout prehistory, will include displays for Dimetrodon and Redondasaurus replicas, among others, thus the choice in Wild kits.

- Hunter Wolf MPD Unit 2 News!

We've got an official page for the second Hunter Wolf MPD which more or less rehashes the lore of the first, but includes lots of gorgeous photos of this Zoid. Looks like it'll have blue eyes! The original unit had yellow-green eyes.

- Zoids Wild Section Update!

The Zoids Wild model kit section has been updated to include the last of the standard release model kits, covering Senki. Pages have also been added for almost all limited editions, giving basic details of how they were distributed, what events they related to, etc. There's still a few limiteds I need to dig up.

- Patlabor Collab: Hunter Wolf MPD Unit 2!

T-Spark has announced a new Patlabor x Zoids collab kit, a rehash of the previous Hunter Wolf Metropolitan Police Department Version, this time as Unit 2! This kit seems redesigned to better match the manga style, with modified facial armor, sloping back ears, new decals, and a more defined nose. The gold from the previous kit has been changed to silver. Pre-orders are opening in August.

- Code Name B.U.D.D.Y. Update!

So I'm sure like me, many of you have been wondering about the manga that was announced a while ago as part of the Patlabor x Zoids crossover. Well, turns out it's beginning in August, as a part of the Hero's Bunko publication! I'm unclear at the moment on if this is going to be a serialized comic or if it's releasing as a book (it seems like most of Hero's Bunko is books?) but we'll find out more later, I'm sure.

- Xeno Rex Test Type-01!

We've gotten new information on the Evangelion collaboration kits (promo image) from Synergenex, starting with Test Type-01, scheduled to be released in February 2026 for 6,600 yen! Both units come with an Entry Plug to replace the pilot. The unit comes with a purple cockpit hatch to match Eva Unit 1 as well as a black one to better match the Xeno Rex's styling. It has custom designed armor and weapons matching the unit as well!

Within the vast geofront beneath Tokyo-3, a spherical metallic lifeform mysteriously glowed and pulsated. It was discovered along with other metallic skeletons deep in the Antarctic strata, and was placed under the care of the special agency NERV. NERV designated this metallic lifeform as a "Core", analyzed it, and due to its semi-permanent energy generation, planned to repurpose it into a weapon to destroy the Angels. During further research, it was also discovered that the Core's unique pulse pattern resonated only with specific individuals of Evangelion, decisive general-purpose humanoid weapons. This was seen as an effective means of countering the Angels. NERV appropriated replacement parts from the resonating Evas, restoring the metallic lifeform to its original form, dubbing it the Xeno Rex, a decisive general-purpose beast-type weapon.

- Xeno Rex Test Type-02

The red Test Type-02 is releasing at the same time for the same cost. It features the Pencil Roc, a 6-shot gun inspired from the referenced Eva, as well as other weapons inspired by Evangelion, like the Pallet Rifle and Progressive Knife, which unfolds from the shoulder towers. Like Type-01, it comes with two cockpit covers, a red one to match the Eva, and a translucent orange one to match the Xeno Rex.

- New Fukui-Raptor Exclusive!

A brand new Zoids Wild recolor has been announced! This one came out of left field, but the new Fukui-Raptor is on sale at the Fukui Prefecture Dinosaur Museum, where sales began on May 31st. Their X account posted a grayscale shot of the prototype, though it's overall the same as the normal Zoids Wild Raptor, with colors swapped to fit the 'bone' theme that many of these dino exhibit limiteds use. As I'm sure you've guessed, this Zoid was chosen to celebrate the Fukuiraptor, the "Thief of Fukui", which was an early cretaceous species first discovered in a quarry in Fukui Prefecture. There's currently no info on if this kit will be sold online at a later date.

- Zoids x Evangelion Crossover Revealed!

We heard mention through a hobby article that there'd be a Zoids x Evangelion crossover, and with perhaps one of the fastest product reveals, we got to see both types at the Shizuoka Hobby Show! General-Purpose Beast-Type Decisive Weapon Xeno Rex Test Unit 01 (based on the famous Unit 01) and the General-Purpose Beast-Type Decisive Weapon Xeno Rex Regular Practical Type Unit-02 (based on the other famous Unit 02) both use the Xeno Rex platform as its base, adding new armor and equipment. Unpainted prototypes were shown off at the Hobby Show, and are expected to open for pre-orders this summer. (There's... a lot of things coming this summer, aren't there?) There's also some added photos by Dengeki Hobby.

- Spiderman x Zoids Collab News!

The Synergenex collabs Spider Zoids Spider-Man Special and Spider Zoids Black Spider-Man Special are hitting stores, so check your favorite shops of choice! They now have their own pages on TT's website, showing off both the action figure and the Zoid kit. Both kits are scheduled for late April for 4,400 yen (each, roughly $31).
