The above concepts show off Aysel's core character design. |
As an archeologist, Aysel discovered a dig site with more Raptor skeletons than they'd ever seen in one area. This find was deemed so significant that the Republican Army fortified the area, putting a large metal gate in front of the only way in. During the process of their excavations, she met Leo, who'd been chased into the border of their territory by Giller and the Red Reaper. She was happy to meet some new faces, but their greetings were short lived as the Empire soon attacked the dig site. Leo helped to drive them away, and fascinated by Leo's journey, and realizing that he was the son of an archeologist she'd idolized for years, Aysel decided to accompany them on their journey.
When Leo's Liger was thrown into a canyon after a battle, Aysel rushed to rescue him. She wasn't able to save the Liger, however, before it was captured by the Empire. It was taken to Zagato Base. Knowing that her superior, Clive Dias, was running training exercises nearby, Jo enlisted his help. She snuck into the Imperial base and turned their turrets towards the Republican training grounds. When the weapons fired, the Empire dropped everything to order a ceasefire and establish contact with the Republic, desperately wanting to ensure them that it was a misfire and absolutely not intended. This gave them a window to rescue the Liger and escape the base.
When the group stumbled upon an old aircraft graveyard she was quick to climb to the top and claim the site under the Republic, placing a beacon to let them know that it'd been discovered.
Aysel received an order from Clive Dias to intercept the Genospino fossil, which had been dropped in the forest by its transport unit (due to the Zoids going out of control), and destroy it. This would stop the Empire from being able to revive the Genospino. Though her and her unit went into the burning forest to attempt this, they met fierce resistance from the Empire, and ultimately failed to destroy the part.
