Zoids Saga Walkthrough

Returning To Arcadia Castle

Before going into the castle, make sure you have a few healing items and have gotten a few levels under your belt. Then head to the left side of the Arcadia Kingdom overworld, where you'll find Arcadia Castle. Entering the grounds will trigger a discussion.

"Whew, the security seems surprisingly lax."
"It seems our enemies don't have enough troops either..."
"But there's no way we could break through the castle's main gate."
"We'd have to dismount from our Zoids. It'd be impossible with just the four of us..."
"I think we can get to the secret room from the entrance of the factory on the left side of the castle..."

The front gates are locked, even if the guards seem to be lacking. So head over to the left side to find a secret entrance.

The Secret Entrance

All there is to do here is head from the entrance to the next exit. There aren't any non-linear paths. Once you reach the door at the back of the room (third image) you'll trigger a conversation.

"... This door opens with a passcode."
 "You're quite knowledgeable, Regina..."
"My family's duty is to research ancient relics..."
"But I haven't heard much about the details from my father."
"Why is his daughter a member of the Beast Warriors?"
 "......"
"W-well, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses!"
 "I see."
 "......"
"Ahh, excuse me, Prince... Let's be on our way."

The Sealed Room

When you enter the room go around the side, to the top of the pedestal in the middle of the room. The group will approach it, and trigger a convo.

 "......"
"This is the sealed... room? Wait, where is the royal relic?"
 "...We're too late..."
 "... It seems so..."
"What do you mean!? Could it be that our enemies...!!"
A Powerful Voice  "You're too late realizing that now, you rats!!"

Your conversation is interrupted when two Command Wolves enter the room, followed by a blue Geno Saurer. They surround the structure in the middle of the room.

"The royal relic, the time-space transfer device, has long since been moved to another location!"
"Time-space transfer device? Is that the true nature of the royal legacy!?"
"What, are you saying you didn't know? Well, it doesn't matter, you're all going to die here anyway."
"Damn it! What're you going to do with the royal legacy!? What about His Majesty! What happened to the King of Arcadia!!"
"Like I have to tell you! Now, the time for talking is over!!"
"We'll have to force our way through! Regina, protect the Prince! Earth, let's go!"
 "Roger that."
 "Leave it to me!"
"Don't underestimate me! Command Wolf unit, attack!!"
 "......!!"

New Battle!

Enemies: Command Wolf x2
Gold: 2,000
Exp: 70

Info: This battle should be pretty straight forward. If you spent some time leveling, you'll probably kill the first wolf on turn one, and the other will probably use its smoke dischargers after. If you didn't level, just focus one at a time.

"The battle knocked a hole in the wall!?"
 "Prince! Everyone! Through that hole!"
 "!!"

Your team quickly escapes through the opening.

"What!? Damn it! Why's there even a passage here?!"
"! Could it be a ruin? Damn, my plan..."
 "After them! Follow me!!"

Arcadia Ruins - Escape Route

Roaming Zoids: Cannon Tortoise, Gator, Godos, Heavy Armor Guysack, Hel Digunner, Iguan, Merda, Molga, Redler

When you escape you'll flee to roughly the mid-way point of the passage, then pause for a conversation.

 "Hey! Where are we going?!"
"I don't know! It's not like we can stop and ask for directions!"
 "......"
"It's those same guys from before. They're following us."

The ruin rumbles as the enemies close in.

 "!"
 "Let's hurry!"

At this point there might be one or two enemies frantically spinning circles around you while they wait for the cut scene to end. Go ahead and head back towards the left if you want to get some extra exp/data.

Otherwise, continue heading right. You'll find a fork in the path. Take the bottom route and collect the three containers (Helcat Zi Data, Sabretiger Zi Data, and Brachios NEW Zi Data.) Then go back around to the top path and trigger another convo.

 "... What is this place?"
 "...? ... A ruin?"
 "Is there a way out?"
"... I hope so... Let's head further in."

Floor 2

Floor two is where the different paths start to branch out, so let's see if we can keep this straight. Go right from the stairs (there's nothing but enemies in the big room you enter into, fight them if you want.) When you go down, take a right to collect the Chobam Armor. Go back and go up the stairs on the left.

The stairs take you to Section A of the third floor. Follow the hall until you reach the container and collect the Shield Liger MK-II Zi Data. You can ignore the stairs that are in the hall past that. There's nothing there yet, it's just an empty room. Go back downstairs.

From there, follow the bottom passage and collect the Iron Kong Zi Data in the corner. Head up and ignore the stairs. Go left to collect the Raynos Zi Data. Go back to the right and go up the stairs to Floor 3, Section B.

Floor 3

On Floor 3 head down and to the left to collect more Chobam Armor. Circle back and follow the long hall at the top left to find another staircase, going up to Floor 4 Section A.

Floor 4

Follow the hall to find a downwards staircase, and take it back down to Floor 3, where it'll place you in the left-most room. Go up to collect the Command Wolf NEW Zi Data, then go up the stairs at the top.

As an aside, keen observers might notice that the middle room of Floor 4 is actually the Space-Time jump point ruins on the right side of the Kingdom of Arcadia map... But nevermind that for now.

Floor 5

This is just a big room. Though there are allusions to more ruins to explore here, once you enter the hall on the right side, it'll immediately take you to the next scene.

Space-Time Transfer Room

When you enter into the room you immediately notice a red Redler sitting on a platform. It turns around and leaps into the orb at the top of the room and disappears from sight.

 "......"
"What was that just now?! And this place...!"
 "It feels the same."
"... You're right. The atmosphere is just like it was back there in the sealed chamber..."
 "Could this be it!?"
"That's right! This is the time-space transfer device!!"
"The one in the castle is a copy of this one."
"Although, the one over there is in better condition..."
 "You're the guy from earlier...!"
"The time-space transfer device is one of the over-technologies left behind by the Ancient Zoidians."

"Using this device, you can travel freely between the past and the future..."
"Something like that exists in Arcadia Kingdom!?"
"Arcadia Kingdom was originally created to protect the time-space transfer device."
 "......"
 "What'd you just say!?"
"Think about it. Why has such a weak little nation sandwiched between the Empire and the Republic continued to exist until now?"
"... A neutral zone to prevent either side from opening the Pandora's Box that is the time-space transfer device..."
"Exactly. But that role has come to an end. From now on, we'll manage the time-space transfer device."
"However, what will be brought about from this isn't peace, but chaos."
 "......"
 "What do you mean?!"
"Hehehe. We'll use the time-space transfer device to create the strongest Zoid army!"

"We'll gather the most powerful Zoids from the past and the future!"

"Then we'll plunge the world into chaos, and rule over it!"

"For that purpose, we have to get rid of the obstacle that is the King of Arcadia and seize the kingdom."

"At least, that's the scenario put forth by my Emperor. So far, things have been going according to plan."
"How could you do such a thing!"
"Unforgiveable, is it? Heh, well it's already too late."

"The Four Heavenly Kings have already departed for a good Zoid Hunt using the Castle's time-space transfer device."

"They should be traveling through time and space using that device right now."

"Either way, it's only a matter of time before the strongest Zoid army is created."
"We'll stop you. We'll put an end to your ambition."
"Can you? Let me tell you, it's not my ambition. It's the Emperor's."
 "...Then what is your ambition?"
"Heh heh... There's no need to answer that."
"You got away earlier, but this time you won't be so lucky!"
"This place will be your grave!!"
"We won't be defeated so easily! I'll protect Prince Athle!"
"Quite the resolve... Then come at me!!!"
"I am one of the Four Heavenly Kings, Blood Keel! Let's go!!"
 "......"

New Battle!

Enemies: Geno Saurer BS
Gold: 1,000
Exp: 200

Info: Blood will spam his particle cannon pretty much the entire fight. This does big damage to a 2 x 2 grid, meaning if you're using the default formation (2 Zoids in middle, one on either side) it'll hit 3/4 of your Zoids at once. Rearrange your formation to have two Zoids at the top and two at the bottom.

Throughout the battle, pay attention to which of your Zoids deal the most damage. Use those as your heavy hitters, and use your weakest Zoids to use healing items on the damaged ones as needed.

"Tch, the Command System still isn't calibrated! Damn that Opis, what sloppy work!!"
"That aside... how could a cheap machine like this even keep up with my abilities..."
"I'll definitely repay this debt! Athle... I won't forget this!!"
 "......"
"The time-space transfer device... Oh no! We have to do something!!"
 "Let's chase after them."
 "......"
"But even if we wanted to go after them, how would we do that?"
"Oh right! The device was just used!"
"The data for the transfer destination might still be there..."
 "That's it!"
"Prince, if we use this device right now, we can chase after the enemy."
"... However, there's no guarantee that we'll be able to make it back."
 "What will you do, Prince?"
 "......"
 "Hey, Athle!! Wait!!"
"Oh dear... He's being quite reckless."
 "Aren't you going?"
 "Of course I going!"

Arcadia Castle, Emperor's Chambers - A Few Hours Ago

Just before the end of this sequence you'll jump over to Arcadia Castle for a conversation between some of our villains.

"We've taken control of Arcadia Castle. We've done it."

"We've also taken control of the castle town and the surrounding areas. There's a curfew currently in effect."

"The Republic and Imperial forces, aware of our surprise attack, have retreated to the border to avoid mutual annihilation."
"All we need is for them to provide the pretext for our attack; after that, they can just stay quiet..."

"... However, it's a rather plain castle. Though I suppose that's rather fitting, given it was his castle..."
 "? ... His, you say?"
"Nevermind, it's none of your business. Just forget it."
 "Yes, sir!"
 "By the way, Flam."
"What Zoids are worthy of gracing the front lines of my Zoid army?"
 "The front lines...?"
"That's right... Of course, it can't be some mass-produced cheap piece of junk. What I desire are two magnificent war machines to adorn the front lines."
"The Shield Liger and the Saber Tiger, and... the Organoid, does that sound about right?"
"Then go! Cross time and space, and find those two Zoids!"
 "Yes, sir!"
"... Hehehe, Arcadia Castle. I have returned!"
"It seems his son escaped, but how far could he get?!"
"No one, absolutely no one, can stop my ambition!!"
 "Hehehe... Hahahahahahahaaaaa!!"

And that's it for Part 3! In the next section we'll find out where exactly you ended up with this time jump.
