Introduction

Leon is a former army physician who worked alongside Bang's father, Dan Freiheit. He retired sometime after Dan's death and returned to the Wind Colony to become a priest, often offering guidance to others.

History

Raven, Episode 49

When Dan Freiheit's unit came across Raven, who was then just a small boy, Leon kept watch over him and tried to find out where he'd come from. However, he found that he couldn't even remember his name. The unit was there surveying ruins at the time in hopes of finding an Organoid. When the Empire realized what they were doing, they sent a large platoon to take their findings. Prozen threatened to burn the entire Wind Colony to the ground if they didn't hand over the Organoid they'd found, while Leon protected Raven. When their comrade, Halford released the Organoid from its capsule, Dan took on the Imperial Army, sacrificing himself to save the rest of his unit. In his final moments he asked that Leon take care of Bang and Fine, and for all intents and purposes, he did, continuing to watch out for Dan's family as they grew up.

First Appearance, Episode 1 ~ 2

Leon was first seen visiting Dan's grave. When the Desert Arcobaleno Gang later kidnapped Maria, threatening to kill her if they didn't hand over the Organoid, Leon agreed to make the swap. He went with the village elder, carrying a concealed gun and ready to fight if the gang went back on their word. He had, after all, formerly been a member of the Republican Army, and wasn't afraid to stand up against thugs. Thankfully, Bang and the Shield Liger were able to defeat them before it came to that.

Medical Care, Episode 35

When Bang brought Dr. D and Fine back to the Wind Colony, explaining that their Gustav had been attacked, Maria let them stay at her home to recover. There, Leon tended to their injuries and Dr. D's illness / fever. He mentioned that he'd been a military doctor in his old days.
