Since it wasn't designed to invade enemy territories it has glaring weaknesses when it comes to mobility and maneuverability, but due to its excess power output, its enemy search abilities, shooting performance, and stealth abilities are unbelievably superior for a Zoid of this class. Its high-power optical camoufalge allows it to ambush on any terrain, while its radar and two types of scopes quickly spot enemies. It shoots right through an enemy's vital points in a single shot with the deep-penetrating Twin Energy Cannons.

The newly completed Saberlion was given the most important mission of all: To help the President escape.
 The Saberlion is the ultra-compact machine of the Republican Defense Force, developed based on the high-performance mass-production SS Zoids of the Eisen Dragoon. Compared to conventional small-scale Zoids, Saberlions are more maneuverable, and their sharp turning abilities are a huge advantage in melee combat. It was supposed to be deployed in guerrilla warfare to take advantage of these capabilities, in urban warfare, or as a support machine for high-speed divisions. However, at the time that the first model had been completed, the capital of the Republic was already on the verge of falling to the Eisen Dragoon. Eventually, the Republican Army, which had lost control of the Central Continent and wanted a lower-cost machine, shifted its main small-scale mass-production machines to BLOX. As a result, the Saberlion, despite its ample capabilities, was so rarely deployed that it was dubbed the Phantom Zoid.

The Gorhecks is a medium-scale Zoid, but its performance is as good as that of the main Imperial Electronic Warfare Zoids, the Dimetrodon and Dark Spiner.
 Gorhecks was a machine equipped with the latest electronic systems during the old Central Continent War, and was called the Republican Army's best electronic warfare Zoid. Its Crystal Radar, the most advanced technology at the time, was linked to a high-performance computer to quickly search for radio waves on all frequency bands. In radio wave jamming and detection missions, it achieved war results far superior to those of the large-scale electronic warfare Zoid, the Gordos.

 After the Grand Catastrophe of Planet Zi, the manufacturing technology for the Crystal Radar was temporarily lost, but it was restored through the research of the Republic's Development Department.  The Arosaurer was developed in the later stages of the Old Central Continent War as a successor to the Godos, which had long since been the Republican Army's main mass-production Zoid. It was deployed in large numbers as the core of each unit, but most of them were lost in the fierce battles against the former Zenebas and Guylos Empires as well as the Grand Catastrophe of Planet Zi, and so in the new wars following ZAC 2099, Godos were once more deployed.

 Liger Zero Phoenix is a further evolution of the B-CAS established with the Gairyuki.

 The Gairyuki's B-CAS is an additive system that allows it to combine and separate from its BLOX according to the situation. However, with Zero Phoenix, when it combines with the flying BLOX "Phoenix", their Core Block (the artificial Zoid Core that drives the BLOX) affects the Zero's original Zoid Core. The cores resonate with one another, amplifying the amount of energy generated. In other words, it's a form of 'multiplication' system.
