- Details of Design

Low Ranged Abilities

Because of the Redler's emphasis on fighting (close range) combat, the Zoid sacrified its ability to store a large number of weapons, by having fewer weapon racks. This means that the Redler can barely carry additional equipment, and is thus considered purely an aerial fighter.

- Military History

ZAC 2100, April ~ May

In April, the Imperial Army dispatched 1,000 Redlers to attack Rob Base, but they were intercepted by 200 of the Republic's new Storm Sworders. After only an hour of combat, 325 Redlers had been shot down and 407 had taken damage. In contrast, only 28 Storm Sworders had been shot down, and only 33 damaged.

Even so, this terrible defeat caused the entirety of the Eastern Europa skies to fall under the control of the Republican Army. Although the Empire had the strength to fight, they were too far from their main operations. They had run out of both food and ammo, and no longer had the resources to keep up the battle. By May, the Imperial Army's transport missions, falling under siege by Republican raids, had become so dangerous that soldiers called them the Death March.

ZAC 2100, April ~ May

With their supply runs compromised and the Empire quickly running out of options, they decided to launch one decisive battle. They waited until a stormy night, when the Storm Sworders couldn't be out flying, and ran death squads of Redlers through the storm to attack the Republic's front lines. The Redlers created an opening for the Empire's Armored Division to break through and attack Rob Base. The Iron Kong PK was able to gain entry to Rob Base, but was ultimately defeated by the Gojulas the Ogre. The Ogre ended the attack on Rob Base, partially because reinforcements were unable to arrive from the sea, held back by the Republic's state-of-the-art Hammer Head.

- Equipment Information

- Strike Claws x4

Strike Claws x4: ストライククローX4

Redler's Strike Claws are one of only two weapons on the Zoid. Aside from serving combat purposes, they also act as landing gear. It's the use of these close range weapons that made the Redler so dangerous, as it was able to tear apart enemy fliers, almost none of which were built for close quarter combat.

- Variable Laser Blade

Variable Laser Blade: 可変レーザーブレード

The primary weapon used to deliver final hits. The Laser Blade is a long, curved blade that normally rests within the streamlined tail. When activated, it flips upwards, and makes use of the Variable Wings to maneuver around the enemy and slice them up at close range.
