- Notable Facts

  • Though Emu wasn't officially tied to Bobby Maxwell's story, a doujin (fan-made book) released by one of the staff members of the Zoids Battle Card Game did list her as the pilot of the Lightning Saix from that pamphlet story. The character details featured in the doujin were clarified to be early concepts from when the game was still in development, and it was stated that they might not match up with official materials. However, given these statements come from an actual staff member and it is an otherwise mild detail that doesn't seem to conflict, I'll be moving forward with this profile assuming that she is, indeed, the Lightning Saix pilot.

- History

Late ZAC 2100 ~ Early 2101, Hunt of the Prototype Liger Zero

As a large storm set in, an unknown Zoid from the Republican Army was spotted out in the field. Under the assumption that it was either running recon or trying to recover fallen soldiers, Emu took off after it in her Lightning Saix Custom. The first volley of shots struck the Zero's foreleg. A second landed hit staggered the Liger and damaged its armor to the point that it looked like it would simply fall off.

The Zero fled into a lava field, long cooled from the volcanic activity in the region 40 years earlier. Emu and her Saix followed them into the uneven terrain, but while she was distracted trying to find her footing, the Zero threw off its armor and lunged. Emu lost sight of it for only a moment, but when it crashed into her Saix, it tore the Pulse Laser Rifle off of its back then fled in its unarmored state. With support units close behind the Liger was in more danger than she was, but the story ended before we found out the ultimate conclusion of this interaction.

- Zoids

Lightning Saix

Though Emu has no Zoid officially, staff members who worked with the Battle Card Game noted her to be the pilot of the Lightning Saix in Zi-Report Vol. 0. This Lightning Saix was noted as a custom, modified for pursuit combat, even if it appears to just be a standard Lightning Saix.
