- History

Late ZAC 2100 ~ Early 2101, Liger Zero Prototype Test

Bobby Maxwell's story began with a long-distance test run of the prototype Liger Zero, right after its Type /ZERO armor design had been completed by the Republican Army. Though he was meant to be escorted by a Storm Sworder, the pilot lost sight of his Zoid during a sudden storm, and he was soon spotted by Imperial forces in the area who assumed he was there to spy or recover downed soldiers.

Though his immediate priority was to retreat and safely take his Liger Zero back to the base, he took multiple hits from the enemy Lightning Saix. Struggling to outrun their pursuer, he ran into an old, dried up lava field, taking advantage of the Liger's agility in the rough terrain. When the Saix drew near, he jettisoned the Zero's armor, which had taken damage anyway and fled in the unburdened armorless Liger Zero. The Saix, disoriented by trying to find its footing in the lava field failed to take notice quick enough. Bobby had torn its Pulse Laser Rifle from its back during his prompt retreat.

Liger Zero

Bobby Maxwell was one of the earliest-known Liger Zero pilots. He piloted a prototype of the Zoid right after its Zero armor was completed, but ultimately threw off the armor to allow his Zoid to escape more quickly. It appears to otherwise be a standard model.
