When an earthquake opened up the Ruins of Saint Konk the Republican Army began excavation efforts, hoping to discover more from the mysterious stone tablets sealed inside. However, the excavation team mysteriously disappeared, as did the army units that went to investigate the nearby town. They'd all fallen victim to Rease's mind control, and had been stashed in an underground structure, later to be discovered by Bang Freiheit.

- History

The Blue Devil, Episode 37

While investigating the ghost town, Bang Freiheit and Fine wandered into the church. They were immediately attacked by Rease, who they mistook as a panicked villager. She passed out before she could be asked any questions. When Bang later went to look for the villagers alone, Rease used the opportunity to take control of Fine's mind and walk her to the top of the bell tower. She tied her to the brick pillars, ensuring that if Bang wanted to take out the amplification device that he'd have to risk killing Fine. She then had Specular fuse to the Double Sworder, greatly increasing the Zoid's size and abilities and fought against Bang Freiheit. He was able to defeat the Zoid, and in spite of Rease making him see horrific visions of missing his target and killing Fine, he was able to take out the bell tower, disrupting Specular's control of the pilots and Zoids.
