- Ancient Ruins (Wind Colony)

Introduction

These ancient ruins were located near the Wind Colony, and appeared to be an old Republican Army location. Though not much is known about their origin, it's likely that they were Ancient Zoidian ruins occupied by the Republic (judging by the presence of an Ancient Zoidian and Organoid inside, that surely wouldn't have been abandoned by the Republic.) A dead Gojulas was seen leaning against the exterior of the ruins, while a wrecked Shield Liger, possibly still alive in some capacity was located further out into the sand.

The Shield Liger's registration had been deleted 20 years prior, likely when the base was abandoned. Its shattered cockpit implied significant damage.

- Notable Facts

  • Bang Freiheit had raided these ruins many times in the past for spare parts.

- History (Anime)

New Passage, Episode 1

While being pursued by a bandit, Bang Freiheit fled to the ruins. He used his hover board to carry him up the steep sides of the building and took refuge on the roof, hiding as the Guysack below started targeting the building. It wasn't long until the Gojulas that'd slumped against the walls for decades dislodged and tipped over, burying the reckless Guysack in rubble. The quakes caused by this massive Zoid toppling over rattled open a new corridor that, up until that point, had remained hidden within the ruin, seemingly even from the Republican Army during its implied occupation.

Bang Freiheit decided to search the new area for parts to repair his broken hover board, only to discover two mysterious capsules standing in a hidden room. One contained the Organoid, Sieg, and the other contained the mysterious Ancient Zoidian girl, Fine. After Sieg revived the wrecked Shield Liger outside, they set off for the Wind Colony. This would mark the start of Bang Freiheit's adventure.

- Ancient Ruins (Gordos)

Introduction

If you follow the Western Continent map of the Battle Story (which may not match up exactly), everything up until Red River is being treated as part of the Elemia Desert. In this case that also involves the ruins protected by a White Gordos, which were set within a canyon surrounded by natural stone shelves. The ruins themselves had long overgrown, not a structure absent of greenery. A large squared archway stood near what appeared to be the main building, and it's known that the ruin was once occupied by the Republican Army.

- Notable Facts

  • This ruin, like the others in the Elemia Desert are implied to have been Ancient Zoidian in nature and only occupied later by the Republican Army. They contained a pillar of Ancient Zoidian text which, when Fine came in contact with it made her aware that she needed to seek out Zoid Eve.

- History

Abandonment, Episode 3

According to a diary found in the ruins from over 50 years ago the Republican Army was forced to abandon the base. This was noted to be because of too many pointless deaths as a result of the war. The man who wrote the diary clarified that because of his Zoid's injury, he was forced to leave it behind, hoping that it would forget about the war and embrace its freedom.

Defense, Episode 3

After the base was abandoned the white Gordos continued to defend it for all those years. When Bang came to the ruins he was at first attacked by it, and when he and Irvine got into a fight near the base the Gordos fought off Irvine's Command Wolf, perceiving it as a threat. Bang would later help repair at least some of the damage done to the Gordos' leg all those years ago. The grateful Zoid would repay the favor by unburying Bang from the rubble of the buildings after Irvine had recklessly fired at them in his attempt to steal Sieg, Bang's Organoid. One final time the duo would fight, and this time, when Bang lost, the white Gordos tanked the shots from the Command Wolf to save him. It ultimately scared Irvine away, but even as Bang tried to tell the Gordos that the war was over and that it didn't need to stay there any longer, the Gordos simply charged ahead, returning to the ruin.

- Ruins (Sleepers)

Introduction

This ruin had, at one point, flooded with water. The indoor lake now hides the remains of a Zoids graveyard. As it'd turn out, the ruin was used by the Republic as a kill point for an army of sleeper Guysacks in the area. These Zoids were programmed to herd enemies to the ruin where they could be completely surrounded and killed.

- Town of Aquifers

Introduction

This unnamed town was located near a large lake. It was considered an important location in the region but was also targeted by people who often dig up the natural aquifers in the area to steal the clean drinking water. This caused the ground around the region to become unstable, prone to creating erupting water jets.

- History

Bandit Attack, Episode 4

When the village was targeted by the Desert Arcobaleno Gang, they decided to hire a mercenary (Irvine) to protect the village. Bang showed up and also offered his help. As it'd turn out, the gang's leader, Rosso, was after his Organoid. He and Irvine together managed to defeat the gang, partially by detonating some of the aquifers in the ground.
