The attack on the ancient ruins lead to Bang Freiheit finding his Organoid, Sieg, and the Ancient Zoidian girl, Fine. See the Ancient Ruins section below for more information.
Bandits looking to capture Bang's Organoid attacked the Wind Colony, taking a hostage to urge the villagers to surrender the mysterious Zoid. This would lead to Bang Freiheit setting out on his journey, hoping to avoid anyone else in his village being targeted for the Zoids he'd acquired.
While being pursued by a bandit, Bang Freiheit fled to the ruins. He used his hover board to carry him up the steep sides of the building and took refuge on the roof, hiding as the Guysack below started targeting the building. It wasn't long until the Gojulas that'd slumped against the walls for decades dislodged and tipped over, burying the reckless Guysack in rubble. The quakes caused by this massive Zoid toppling over rattled open a new corridor that, up until that point, had remained hidden within the ruin, seemingly even from the Republican Army during its implied occupation.
Bang Freiheit decided to search the new area for parts to repair his broken hover board, only to discover two mysterious capsules standing in a hidden room. One contained the Organoid, Sieg, and the other contained the mysterious Ancient Zoidian girl, Fine. After Sieg revived the wrecked Shield Liger outside, they set off for the Wind Colony. This would mark the start of Bang Freiheit's adventure.
According to a diary found in the ruins from over 50 years ago the Republican Army was forced to abandon the base. This was noted to be because of too many pointless deaths as a result of the war. The man who wrote the diary clarified that because of his Zoid's injury, he was forced to leave it behind, hoping that it would forget about the war and embrace its freedom.
After the base was abandoned the white Gordos continued to defend it for all those years. When Bang came to the ruins he was at first attacked by it, and when he and Irvine got into a fight near the base the Gordos fought off Irvine's Command Wolf, perceiving it as a threat. Bang would later help repair at least some of the damage done to the Gordos' leg all those years ago. The grateful Zoid would repay the favor by unburying Bang from the rubble of the buildings after Irvine had recklessly fired at them in his attempt to steal Sieg, Bang's Organoid. One final time the duo would fight, and this time, when Bang lost, the white Gordos tanked the shots from the Command Wolf to save him. It ultimately scared Irvine away, but even as Bang tried to tell the Gordos that the war was over and that it didn't need to stay there any longer, the Gordos simply charged ahead, returning to the ruin.
When the village was targeted by the Desert Arcobaleno Gang, they decided to hire a mercenary (Irvine) to protect the village. Bang showed up and also offered his help. As it'd turn out, the gang's leader, Rosso, was after his Organoid. He and Irvine together managed to defeat the gang, partially by detonating some of the aquifers in the ground.
