- Modify Your Zoids!

This page is for Zoid Modifications! For the time being, this refers specifically to modifications that can be made out of the box, using supporting materials for Zoids Wild and other Zoids model kits. That means swapping around the armors to create new color combinations, adding different campaign caps, or equipping weapons from other Zoids. At a later time, we may include actual customizing.

- Swapping Middle Blade Hilt

Swapping armors is fun, but you might find yourself annoyed when Wild Liger's middle blade doesn't match the rest! We're going to go over how to swap those pieces out. In this case, we want to swap out the solid red piece from the Evil armor for the transparent red piece of the Guren version, to make a backpack that is black and transparent red.

- Step One

First we're going to remove the backpack and turn it upside down. You'll see five screws on the bottom. The four on each corner keep the gear box closed, which is used for the Wild Blast. Don't mess with those. The fifth screw, located at the top, attaches the center blade to the backpack. You can unscrew this with a small screwdriver to remove the blade.

Note: Be sure not to lose that screw! It's very tiny. It will seem like it catches on the bar beneath it at first. Don't be fooled! It can still fall out of that space, very easily.

- Step Two

When you remove the center blade you'll see the hole where the screw goes. We've circled that in green. You'll also see two pegs on the back, which in Image 1 have arrows pointing to them. Now, if you look at the backpack (image 2) you'll see 2 holes where those pegs can go. Slide those pegs in first to align the parts. With them all lined up, you can just hold it in place and turn the backpack upside down. Screw the blade back onto the backpack, and you're good to go!

- All done!

You now have a matching backpack! Everything should work normally, and no more mismatched parts.
