The Knuckle Kong is a large, robust Zoid frequently relied upon for its strength. In the anime, it's depicted as considerably larger than the model kit when compared to other Zoids. It's often seen in the Empire carrying a variety of equipment, and was also depicted attacking a Grachiosaurus during the Zoid Crisis. This one was roughly the same color as the ones used by the Empire later on.

Confronting the Beast Liger, Episode 5
A group of Knuckle Kong (Empire Spec.) confronted Leo Conrad, demanding that he turn over Sally Land. However, they were interrupted by Byrne Blood and his Gatling Fox. The Fox was able to take out the Zoids, and Leo escaped with his friends while the kongs were distracted.

The Knuckle Kong is a prominent unit in the Empire, frequently equipped with multiple additional weapons. They feature a two-toned dark slate color scheme, and by default, are equipped with a Z-O Visor to better control the Zoid. Their cockpit is situated on the back, between the shoulder blades.

Name not official. This variation of the Knuckle Kong is one of the more commonly depicted ones, featuring a Force-Barrel Gatling on the right shoulder and an A-Z Anti-Aircraft 4-Barrelled Cannon on the left. This provides a considerable amount of firepower.

Force-Barrele Gatling
Also possibly Force-Barrel Gatling, this weapon is originally from the Sniptera. It's installed to the right shoulder of the Empire's Knuckle Kongs. As one would expect, it fires at a high rate of fire, and has four total barrels.
A-Z Anti-Aircraft 4-Barrelled Cannon
These weapons, originally found in the ZW model kit customize part sets are installed to the left shoulder. As the name suggests, they provide anti-air defense.
