The Raptor is a low ranking Death Metal Zoid, often traveling in packs under the direct orders of a superior. While they tend to get mowed over as your typical cannonfodder baddies, they're occasionally competent and have even been known to use Death Blasts. As you'd expect from a raptor they have natural packing instincts, and are rarely seen in groups of less than 5 or 6.
In spite of this, the raptors get bullied more than most. Even when they're struck down by the larger Death Metal Zoids they make no effort to fight back, seemingly obeying the pecking order no matter what

Captain Sodder's Pack:Consisting of approximately 6 raptors, this pack is fairly disorganized. It is defeated rather easily and the captain will always call for a retreat if the raptors take damage.
Death Metal Gil Battalion, 1st Platoon:
Lead by Zamas, this unit is much larger, consisting of about 10 raptors. Unlike the Sodas platoon, Zamas leads his raptors well, taking advantage of their natural packing behaviors to confuse and disorient opponents. This allows the pack leader, Zamas' raptor, to go in for an attack while the enemy is distracted.s
