- Episode 10: The Mountain of Dreams

Summary

             

 In an attempt to find Zoid Eve our heroes visit an old retired scientist from the Republic, but get dragged into his crazy shenanigans, all geared towards gathering obscure equipment. They eventually become involved in his dream of creating snow in the warm mountain region, something that hasn't happened since he was a child.

- Notable Facts

  • Dr. D was said to be quite important to the Republic back in his day. When he retired, he moved to a remote cabin to carry out his dream of developing technology that could make it snow.

  • Fine and Dr. D both like a ton of salt in their coffee. Though this seems like an odd choice, in real life a pinch of salt is actually used in coffee because it inhibits the bitter taste receptors of the tongue, making coffee taste sweeter, smoother, and enhancing its natural flavors. This... definitely isn't the case of Dr. D and Fine, who our salt into their coffee until the flavor itself becomes salty.

  • Dr. D keeps a picture of Snow Mountain on his wall, reminding him of the winter wonderland he experienced as a child.

  • Episode 10 is the first to feature an eye catch other than the Shield Liger, featuring the Command Wolf IS.

  • The building they get the bulk of their supplies from is an unmanned supply base by the Republic guarded by sleeper Zoids.

  • Though it snows at the end of the episode, Moonbay and Fine actually find the missile used for the experiment undetonated, revealing that the strange weather was actually sheer coincedence. They choose not to say anything because they don't want to ruin the boys' fun.
