Introduction
Nichalo is a mysterious young boy who's closely tied to Rease's traumatic past. His story is one of the most unusual in the series, but he seems to have a good heart and a willingness to always help others.

Saving Bang Freiheit, Episode 51
When a strange man showed up in town every other villager fled to hide. While everyone else abandoned him, a strange white Helcat stumbled upon him unconscious and brought him back to Nichalo's home in the ruins, where he was happy to patch him up. Bang was amazed to see the white Helcat when he awoke, and Nichalo introduced him as Tirol. When Bang further expressed confusion about the reaction of the villagers, Nichalo explained that they'd always been that way, feeling Zoids were tools of war and not to be played with. Bang determined to prove them wrong and offered to teach Nichalo how to pilot his Helcat. The boy was ecstatic, but towards the end of their day explosions erupted from the village.
The Imperial Army had come looking for Bang, spurred on by Rease. Nichalo was in no position to fight trained soldiers, so Bang stole one of their Rev Raptors and fought to protect the village. When his Rev Raptor was finally disabled, the village protected him, too. An effort to repent for their past mistakes.
Past, Episode 51
When the Guardian Force defeated the Imperial Army, the villagers explained that they just couldn't let another boy get hurt by their inaction. Bang tried to show them the ruin where the boy who'd helped him lived, and a village elder simply hung his head, informing him that no such boy lived there. He went on to explain that ten years prior Nichalo had brought an Ancient Zoidian girl that he'd found back to the village. A Republican Army archeological survey unit later attacked the village and demanded that they had her over. In their cowardice, they almost complied in exchange for sparing their homes. Only Nichalo resisted. He was shot and killed, the girl theoretically taken. All records of the village would later be sealed by Prozen, preventing anyone from finding out what had happened there. Unknown to everyone, the Ancient Zoidian girl in the ruin turned out to be Rease.
When she saw Bang and his friends all gathered together, she simply couldn't resist taking the shot. She fired the cannons on her Psycho Geno Saurer, sure to destroy the group. However, at the last second, the spirit of Nichalo and Tirol appeared before her. They were struck by her cannon fire, vanishing in an explosion of white light. Rease was so disturbed by this event that she chose to simply leave, rather than try again.
