History

Childhood, Episode 55

Carol's village was destroyed when she was quite young, during the early parts of the war, an event that claimed both of her parents. The attack had been spearheaded by the Imperial Army, and her leg injury is a result of these events. As she grew she became extremely loyal to Garth, a man who ran the Zi Foundation, a charity centered around helping war orphans.

Irvine, Episode 55

The Zi Foundation, for all its good, also doubled as an illegal weapons production operation, producing weapons that weren't supposed to exist after the war. When Irvine and his Lightning Saix stumbled upon one of their transporters and realized they were smuggling weapons, they had no choice but to frame him for the operation. He was knocked out by the men who were present at the time and placed in a building with some of the illegal weapons in the room with him.

Carol then lead the Republican Army's intelligence division in busting the alleged criminal. She arrested Irvine. Originally, the goal was to have him shot and killed so that he would take the blame for the operation, and any proof to the contrary would die with him. However, he unexpectedly escaped the Hammer Head that was transporting him to his final destination. Carol dove out of the Hammer Head after him, knowing she couldn't lose their mark. They were separated when they activated their parachutes but she quickly tracked down the alleged criminal, only to then be disarmed again when she realized that Irvine had video evidence of Garth, Carol being so surprised that she let her guard down.

From there they traveled together through the mountains. An avalanche nearly claimed both their lives, and Carol was left hanging from the edge of a cliff. She would've died here, had Irvine not come back and pulled her up.

At Garth's property they pretended to be a couple to sneak into the banquette, even sharing a kiss to avoid suspicion from the guards. Carol explained to Irvine that some of the soldiers there were retired from the Republic. When they moved on to another facility and found the Lightning Saix, she confessed the entirety of their plan, the plan for Irvine to be shot and killed. Garth showed up, expressing his interest in seeing the Saix mass produced by their factory as a weapon of war that'd have no end to the buyers. He ordered Carol to shoot Irvine, and seemingly conflicted by this position, she instead fired into the steam pipes of the ceiling, giving him a chance to steal back the Saix.

As soon as he escaped Carol took chase in her Storm Sworder, a variant with a vibrant red color. The two Zoids scrapped on the coast until she took damage to one of the wings after failing to pull up. With her Sworder rapidly descending, she ignored Irvine's pleas to once again correct her altitude and instead turned off the communication device, allowing herself to crash into the ocean. Judging by how swiftly she started this battle, it seems that this end had been her goal from the second she decided to let Irvine escape. She was never seen again after the fight, even though Irvine returned to the shore to look for her.
