Introduction
Beret appeared briefly, leading a search party into the mountains to find Prince Rudolph, who'd been designated an imposter attempting to usurp the throne.

Capture of the Imposter, Episode 27
After hearing that someone claiming to be Rudolph had passed through a local bar, Beret asked why the owner hadn't stopped the group and informed the Empire immediately. She mocked him, declaring that it was an obvious prank. In response, Beret had his subordinate slap a closure notice on the bar.
The search for the so-called 'imposter' Rudolph was in full swing, and check points were set up along all major routes to stop anyone trying to flee the region. Beret checked in on one of these locations and heard a story about two young women trying to transport their Zoids to a wedding. He realized immediately that these must be Fine and Moonbay, the accomplices of the imposter. After thoroughly reprimanding the man at the check point he ordered all available soldiers to split up and search the mountains, certain that they'd be traveling on foot to avoid their snares.
A unit of Realgas were sent into the forest. They successfully captured the criminals, who were thrown into a mobile jail cell in the field. When Beret's subordinate brought him photos of the criminals, he scoffed, finding that the 'fake' Rudolph didn't even really resemble the real prince. Ironic, as he was the genuine article. Even so, Beret had the photos forwarded directly to Prozen, who confirmed that it was indeed the imposter they were looking for.
Before he could deliver them, another subordinate, Rokai, helped them escape. He'd been rescued by Bang in New Helic City, and owed his life to the boy. Soon after their escape was discovered bombs went off in the camp, distracting some of the personnel. Beret ordered his men after them, but Rokai diverted the soldiers to another path. Everyone escaped.
