 Development of the Anti-Ultrasaurus Kong!

 "Imperial Command, I'm approaching the capital of the Republic! We've got their large army right where we want them!"

 Commando Echo's solo operation was a thrilling adventure that won the hearts of the Empire's people, and newspapers wrote about his exploits day after day.

 However, upon receiving Echo's report, Emperor Zenebas let out a deep sigh, feeling that they'd been shown the difference in national power between the Empire and the Republic.

 If the overall strength of the Imperial's technological departments could be increased, developing a Zoid that could surpass the Ultra would no longer be just a dream. However, what effect would the production of one or two giant Zoids actually have when it came to winning or losing? In order to mass produce giant Zoids, they'd have to halt the production of Kongs and Sabretigers, which were currently supporting the Imperial Army.

 Beyond the huge Ultrasaurus of which Echo spoke about, Emperor Zenebas could clearly see the vast resources and labor boasted by the Republic, along with their countless factories which were working day and night.

 A great crisis was about to hit the Empire. Zenebas had to make a decision.

 "Modify the Kong and destroy the Ultrasaurus. This operation is now in Echo's hands."

 "At the same time, the entire Imperial Army should immediately prepare an attack on the Republic. Engage them in a decisive battle before the Ultra can be mass-produced."

Cold Weather Type "Yeti Kong"



The Yeti Kong is a mecha modified for cold weather combat, invented by Echo. Echo had set the site of the final battle against the Ultra to be the polar regions of Planet Zoid.



The large fan on its back blew -40 degree winds, freezing the enemy in place. Test results on the battlefield were also excellent.



Attached to its back was a special life support device that allowed it to function in cold regions. It was eventually miniaturized and installed internally.



Space Jump Type "Space Kong"



To counter the power of the Ultra, Echo tried to increase the Kong's speed and develop flying abilities for it. The result was the large rocket-equipped Space Kong. It'd ride the large rocket into space, then use the space travel device on its back to fly to the skies above its destination. It would then use reverse thrust to descend to the ground. With this method, it could reach any point on Planet Zoid in just 20 minutes.



By moving through space, it becomes possible to attack places that'd normally be inaccessible. The polar region that Echo considered to be the battle site against the Ultra would also be within its range.



The various flight data that Space Kong obtained in space was quite useful in developing a flying device for use in the atmosphere.





Space Kong destroyed the target satellite. The experimental results of the Yeti Kong and Space Kong were ultimately combined into one advanced type of Kong, the Iron Kong MK-II.
