Birth of the Sabretiger  ZAC 2036

Accompanied by Helcats, they attack the Godos at breakneck speed. No one can escape the attacks of the Sabretigers.

The information brought back by the Zoid Gojulas of a new tiger-type Imperial Zoid was frightening. With a maximum speed of 200 km/h and a variety of weapons such as a 2-Barrelled Beam Gun it surpassed all previous Republican Zoids in every aspect.

The one clue that Republican Command had of how they could win was its light weight of 80 tons.

"If we can bring a large Zoid of around 200 tons into close-range combat with it, surely we'll have a chance to win."

However, the results were disastrous for Republican Zoids even still. The tiger Zoids that appeared on the battlefield could continue fighting in close-range combat without losing even a bit of their 200 km/h speed. Before the large Republican Zoids had time to compensate for their enemy's speed, its sharp fangs were already sinking into their vital points and bringing them down. Finally, Republican Command issued an order to the entire army.

"Any forces that encounter the Imperial tiger-type Zoid, the Sabretiger, should refrain from engaging in combat however possible and immediately request support from the air force."

The Republican Army was cornered by the powerful mechas, the Kong and the Tiger. Some soldiers even considered the possibility of total defeat.

However, few knew that a new type of Zoid that'd completely change the course of battle was nearing completion at that very moment in the Republic's Research Institute. A giant Zoid that no one had ever imagined before...

"The Sniper" is an assassin secretly sent to the battlefield by the Imperial Army. Equipped with a Long-Range Sniper Cannon with excellent accuracy on its back, it can take down enemies with a single shot from far away. No one has ever seen The Sniper and lived.

Even the Zoid Gojulas, which excels at close-range combat has a hard time against the Sabretiger. The difference in fighting speed is just too great.

Nighttime attacks form the stage upon which the Sabretiger, and it alone, excels. Ducking under the cover of darkness and rain it sneaks in close and by the time the Bigasauru notices, its two fangs have already sunk deep into its neck.
