- The Empire Strikes Back
- ZAC 2032: The Appearance of the Versatile Zoid, the Iron Kong
The border crossing happened late at night when a huge storm was raging. Kong proved its excellent ability to operate in all weather conditions and at night.
A huge black "mountain" was about to cross the border.
The forested area of the Central Mountain Range, where the border line ran from north to south. The Republic's advance base, nestled in the deep forest, was engulfed by the black horde and destroyed before a single shot could be heard.
The ominous rumors of the Republic's soldiers had become a reality. The top-secretly developed Imperial Zoid, the Iron Kong, had revealed itself.
The two missiles on its back had the power to pulverize enemies at a great distance, and the shoulder missiles were fired in rapid succession at close range. Even the Zoid Gojulas would be unable to stop it. In addition, the gorilla's unique agility was sure to give it outstanding strength in melee combat as well.
A large force of Iron Kongs broke through the mountainous region at an astonishing speed and finally entered the plains of the Republic.
The onslaught of huge missiles. The missile-loaded Kongs, which didn't need supporting artillery fire from the rear, were able to attack deep in enemy territory.

- The Two Clash!!
The battlefield shifted to the plains within the Republic. The Republic's small Zoid units, knowing that they were doomed to fail, attempted a counterattack again and again. The Republican Army's agonizing strategy was to somehow slow down the speed of the Kong Force's advance.
In the meantime, as many Zoid Gojulas as they could possibly move were gathered from all over the Republic. The Zoids numbered approximately 200. Against them were 150 Kongs. Finally, the two great armies of Zoids began to clash on the Great Plains.
It was the Kong unit that took the lead. Missiles rained down on the Zoid Gojulas units. However, the Republican forces continued to advance nevertheless. The momentum of the Zoids stopped the Kong unit in its tracks for the first time.
Seizing the brief moment when the Kong switched the Six-Shot Missiles on its shoulders to its hands in preparation for a close-range encounter, the Zoid Gojulas attacked.
The giant Zoids collided with one another in a fierce battle. Neither missiles nor laser cannons could be used any longer. One by one, the Kongs sank into the plains.
Even the Kong force was forced to retreat before the Zoid Gojulas.
Along with the Zoid Gojulas, the Republic's giant mecha Salamander blasted the Kong unit. However, the Kongs switched their Six-Shot Missiles to the hand-held weapon mode and fired back.
Finally, the Salamander was dragged down to the ground and with one blow from the Kong's long arm, it ceased to breath.

The Zoid Gojulas leapt into the Kong force's arms, a desperate tactic. For the Republican Army, which had been attacked deep within its own territory, retreat at this point would mean defeat. However, even though they were able to defend their territory, the appearance of the Iron Kong marked the end of the Zoid Gojulas' era of invincibility.
- Results of the Battle
Although they won the battle, the Zoid Gojulas lost more units than the Kong forces.
