Zoids Battle Story 4: Battle of the Central Continent

The new emperor's orders had been given.
— Annihilate all Republican forces remaining on Delpoi. Completely.
A large force of Zoids set out from the former Republic capital, now the Eastern Command District of the Neo Zenebas Empire. Their target was the remaining Republican Army bases throughout Delpoi. Fortunately, all bases were a certain distance from the city. It looked like they could avoid urban warfare that would've involved the populace.
— This'll also prevent them from being able to follow orders to the letter.
The charge of the Imperial Army sweep-up force had begun. Pushing the Dark Spiners to the front, they confused the Republican Army Zoids with Jamming Waves, while the giant bodies of the Elephanders that followed cut through deep formations. The Berserk Führers and Geno Saurers of the Eisen Dragoon took down the large machines, while the small Zoids like Demantis and Diloforce danced around the Republican Army's soldiers. It was a very one-sided battle.
In the two-week sweep, the Imperial Army destroyed or captured over 350 Republican Zoids. They took over 3,000 prisoners. The Imperial Army Headquarters cheered when they received the report, but some of the generals looked puzzled. It was too few. They estimated that there'd still be 10 times as many Republic Zoids on Delpoi. In other words, there were bases that the Imperial Army wasn't aware of. The number of prisoners was also far from the expected number. They were apparently hidden by the citizens of a neighboring city.
"Peace and true unification are still a long way off..."
The new emperor Wolff Muroa learned that the Imperial Army's sweep had ended in defeat.
