Story Information
Pilots: Introduction:
  • Rimson Oxide
  • Sieger Shan
An amphibious iguana-type Zoid that has served in active combat both at land and in the sea. Unlike many other Zoids of Guylos, the Hel Digunner was made exclusively by the Guylos Empire, instead of being a retrofitted Zenebas design. It specializes in solo missions, and takes advantage of its amphibious abilities to sneak into enemy territory alone, carrying out various methods of sabotage. It is particularly agile in wetlands.  [1]

- Military History

ZAC 2099, August

Up until this point the Hel Digunner had been known to serve in the Heavy Artillery Unit, Tactical Submarine Fleet, and Surprise Attack Force. During August of 2099, it also served as a land warfare Zoid to combat the advancing Helic Republic. It has been noted in some cases to serve as a support sniper, helping to defend frontline soldiers.

ZAC 2100, July

With the Empire's supply lines running thin, a decision was made to launch a full scale attack on Rob Base. This attack was scheduled for a night when terrible storms would keep the Republic's Storm Sworders from flying, and consisted of 50 ground divisions adding up to around 50,000 combat Zoids, as well as a mixed marine unit consisting of Sinkers, Brachios, and Hel Digunners (roughly 10,000 combat Zoids).

Hel Digunner units joined the marine forces, and were meant to land on the shoreline to provide reinforcements for the advancing Imperial Army. However, along the way, they were intercepted by the Republic's state-of-the-art Hammer Head, and the Hel Digunners, nor their allies, were strong enough to fight this agile Zoid. The reinforcements arrived late to the fight, and as the Gojulas the Ogre tore its way through the Iron Kong PK, the Empire's plan ultimately fell apart.

- Equipment Information

- ARZ 20mm 2-Barrelled Beam Gun x2

ARZ 20mm 2-Barrelled Beam Gun x2:

Two sets of 2-barrelled guns with long, thin barrels. These are stationed on the chest, low to the ground, and fire energy beams at the target. They don't often see use.

- Long Range Assault Beam Gun

Long Range Assault Beam Gun:

The primary weapon of the Hel Digunner, stationed on its back. The arm of the gun allows it to rotate up and down. With long-range capabilities, it's often used on sniper missions to help support the other front-line combat units.

- Smash Up Tail

Smash Up Tail:

If you've ever met an unfriendly iguana, you might know that these animals whip their tails with pure disdain for your existence. The Smash Up Tail is no different, and is jointed in 3 places for a nice wide swing.

- Strike Claw x4

Strike Claw x4:

The Hel Digunner's claws. The Hel Digunner's posture makes it difficult to use the larger back claws, so this mostly refers to the front limbs. They don't really get used in most media.

- Turret-Type Surface-To-Air 72mm Machine Gun

Turret Type Surface-To-Air 72mm Machine Gun:

This weapon is attached to the top of the tail, near its base. It rests on a rotating disc, which allows the gunner seat as a whole to swing left and right, delivering sweeping rounds of gunfire to ward off pursuing enemies.
