- Notable Facts

  • Lemuria Island references a theory from real life that proposed a lost land mass to explain how lemurs were found in Madagascar and India, but not in Africa or the Middle East. The idea was that it was due to a lost continent that effectively formed a land bridge. However, though this theory was disproved, the name was later adopted as a theorized continent housing a lost ancient civilization. The dub changed the name to Lumiere Island.
  • A legend about the waters near Lemuria say that when the two moons eclipse one another, the land of the dead that lies at the bottom of the sea is brought back to life, and that anyone who witnesses this resurrection is cursed to never return to dry land.
  • Every 60 years the two moons of Zi eclipse one another. This causes enormous whirlpools to appear in the area due to the powerful tidal currents, lowering the water level enough to witness the Lost City of the Ancient Zoidians.

Battle Against Rease, Episode 46

When Bang got separated from Fine she was confronted by Rease, who once again began to target her with cruel visions and taunts. She forced Fine to see visions of Bang being killed while trying to defend her, but in the end Fine was able to see that Rease's disdainful attitude was a reflection of her own suffering. With Bang and Dr. D rushing to the scene, Rease retreated.

Soon after her Double Sworder broke from the tree line, piloted by Specular. Bang took chase in the Blade Liger, following it out onto a pier. Once he shot down the Zoid Specular bailed into the ocean, where Rease was waiting in a Hammer Head. She destroyed the path back to shore then attacked the sinking Blade Liger, slowly driving it closer to the whirl pools. She was temporarily distracted by Dr. D's Sinker, and in that moment Bang used the force of the whirlpools and the boosters to slingshot himself at the Hammer Head, cutting it down with the Liger's blades.

Rease would've sunk into the ocean and drowned had Bang not dove back in to rescue her, but before she could be questioned, Specular scooped her up and escaped.

- Lost City of Ancient Zoidians

Introduction

The oceans of Lemuria hide an ancient city, said to be the Lost City of Ancient Zoidians. The stone buildings are still in decent enough shape, and during the rare eclipse the tidal pools opening in the area lower the water level enough that, for a short time, you can step foot in the city. The actual purpose of this location is poorly understood, and for all the hype towards investigating it virtually no investigation got to happen thanks to Rease's interference.

- Notable Facts

  • In a blink-and-you'll-miss-it detail, these ruins actually served as an important plot framing device. A tablet featured in the watery city showed an image of Fine, giving the first hint to her being a 'chosen one' of sorts to control Zoid Eve. This stone depiction included her being wrapped in what appears to be ribbons, likely a representation of her being covered in cables from an Organoid in the Zoid Eve console area.

  • Fine referred to this city as her homeland, likely because of its title.

- History

Eclipse, Episode 46

While Bang was distracted fighting Rease, whirlpools formed in the area and began lowering the water level. The city was soon to be revealed for the first time in 60 years, yet while all this was going on it was already being investigated in secret. Hiltz, aboard a Whale King, was already in the ocean, likely investigating the city. By the time Rease was defeated, Hiltz had retreated, and Dr. D's team was able to step into the ancient city. Whatever Hiltz had been after had already been taken. They witnessed a broken tablet containing hints of the ancient scorpion-type Zoids that defeated the Death Saurer.
