- Eveopolis

- Introduction

Eveopolis is a location mentioned in the Zoids anime, the home of the Zoid Eve, the source of life for all Zoids on Planet Zi. The city is sprawling, with tall skyscrapers and every building covered in colorful painted patterns. It's also the site of the entombed ultimate Death Saurer, the beast that nearly destroyed the Ancient Zoidian race. The design of the city is quite unique, with many rooftop or balcony gardens, enclosed pathways between buildings, and even whole different levels to the city. Many of the roads and 'ground level' structures actually look down to buildings going far deeper into the earth, even below street level.

- Notable Details

  • The region around Eveopolis was under the effect of a Rare Hertz. This was enough to take down a Storm Sworder Stealth. Once inside the city, the effect no longer seems active, implying it's a radius around the city and not within it.

- History

The Opening of the Gates, Episode 65

When the Dark Kaiser called Fine to the gates of Zoid Eve, he revealed that he no longer considered himself Prozen, but an evolved being, the supreme ruler of Planet Zi. This was likely the Death Saurer, whose core he was fused to, speaking through him. He took control of Fine's mind and guided her to the gates of Zoid Eve, where she opened the doors to Eveopolis. The Dark Kaiser implored her to awaken the Zoid Eve, but she refused, believing instead that the Zoid Eve should be destroyed to put an end to the destruction.

The Battle of Eveopolis, Episode 66 ~ 67

As Prozen prepared to merge to the Death Saurer's body he was interrupted by Rease and Raven. They were promptly distracted by three attacking Geno Saurers, just like the one Raven's Geno Breaker had evolved from. While Raven tried to hold them off he accidentally deflected one of their shots into the Zoid Eve console area, awakening the Zoid Eve.

This was the start of the chaos. Called by Prozen, the Death Stinger returned to Eveopolis, abandoning its battle against Bang Freiheit as Hiltz and Ambient were absorbed into the Zoid Core. Right after Bang Freiheit arrived in Eveopolis, Prozen was fully absorbed by the Death Saurer's core. Hiltz revealed that it was only an Ancient Zoidian who could control the Death Saurer, and that Prozen was merely a vessel, a 'ghost body' for it to inhabit until it could return to its true body. The Death Stinger's core ripped out of its frame, absorbed the smaller Death Saurer clone's core, then fused to the entombed Death Saurer. It was reawakened, breaking free from its restraints.

By then, the Ultra Saurus had nearly reached the city. As it was preparing to fire the Gravity Cannon, the Death Saurer took notice and countered with a particle beam that struck the Ultra Saurus and caused massive damage. While struggling to keep the Zoid stabilized, they managed to get off a single shot. Though it landed perfectly on the mark the hyper gravity field was compressed by the Death Saurer. A strange ring rose up around the beast, forming a peculiar lens in the sky. This lens was then used to divide its particle beams across the entire planet.

The threat of the Death Saurer had turned out to be so much more than they had even anticipated. Rudolph ordered the mobilization of the Empire's forces to try to stop it, but their attacks failed to do damage. The Death Saurer even tried to absorb the Blade Liger and Geno Breaker. Its efforts were interrupted by a shockwave from Zoid Eve. After a brief discussion with Fine, Hiltz asserted that he was fully intent on wiping out all civilization on Planet Zi. He continued his path of destruction, using the lens as a means to distribute his destruction across the globe.

With little other choice, Fine began the process of shutting down the Zoid Eve. Knowing that this would result in the death of all Zoids, Bang begged for a chance to defeat the Death Saurer. He came up with the plan to fire his Zoid out of the Gravity Cannon. While they prepared to move forward with this reckless idea, Raven took on the role of battling the Death Saurer. With Shadow's help he was able to burn a hole in its energy shield, creating an opening for Bang to target. Soon after, the Blade Liger was fired. The additional force allowed it to break through the Death Saurer's armor, seemingly destroying the Zoid Core along with Hiltz. The Death Saurer collapsed, and as Fine and Sieg returned to the Blade Liger Eveopolis itself began to sink back beneath the sand. The city's massive buildings and the Death Saurer disappeared once again, becoming hidden from the world.

- Zoid Eve Console Area

Introduction

Control of the Zoid Eve is conducted from a special console area, a pillaresque structure that connects directly to the pathway leading from the gates of Eveopolis. Once Fine entered the console area it drew six chrome pillars up from the floor, which seemed to be control devices. In some instances, they formed a protective barrier of sorts.
