The base was first shown being used to test brand new boosters. While these tests were being carried out they were also investigating the Blade Liger, which Bang felt had become sluggish and unresponsive. As it turned out Bang had simply outgrown the Blade Liger. The Zoid could no longer keep up with what he wanted it to do, so Dr. D continued focusing on the booster tests in hopes of finding a solution.
The first set of boosters detonated, destroying the outdoor facility. The second set, attached to the Gustav, yielded incredible speed boosts but also rendered the Zoid completely uncontrollable, as it was traveling too fast to properly brake. The boosters tore off of its sides and exploded in the air. The third set of boosters were attached to the Blade Liger, the Attack Boosters. This set doubled as a long-ranged weapon.
After dressing as maintenance personnel and sneaking onto the base, Hiltz used a remote device to take control of the base's Gun Sniper WRRs. They launched an attack against the Blade Liger, and for a moment were overwhelming it as Bang continued to push the Zoid past its limits. However, when Sieg fused to the core, finally able to unlock the Blade Liger's full potential, it started to respond almost as fast as Bang could think. The Gun Snipers were easily defeated, unable to even keep track of the much faster Blade Liger. The final unit was fused with Ambient, who evolved it into the Toge Sniper. Though Ambient was better able to handle the Blade Liger's speed, the Toge Sniper was still defeated.
