RMZ-004 Hell Cat Guylos Color
Design Concept Sketches
RMZ-004 Hell Cat Guylos Color
We took the flexibility of its back into consideration, as well as the proportions and the range of leg motion unique to feline figures. The design was based on setting ideas such as the legs having jumping power and the feet having sound-dampening functions.

Details 01: Movable Gimmicks
Each part has a movable gimmick
The action plastic kit approach allows for a wide range of motion, enhancing the realistic movements of animals.

 |
Neck
There's a ball joint at the base of the neck and a hinge at the back of the head that allows it to bend up and down. |
Body
The waist has a built-in pull-out joint, which can be extended to allow for a wider range of motion side-to-side. It's also possible to curl the body forwards.
|
 |
 |
Legs
Ball joints are used at the base of the legs, allowing for them to extend outwards or tuck inwards. The joints in the front legs have a wide range of motion, making it possible to pose the figure in a forward-leaning posture. |
Tail
Because the tail's divided into three sections it can swing left and right, allowing for dynamic poses. Additionally, the base of the tail is connected to a ball joint, allowing it more flexibility in all directions.

Details 02: Movable Gimmicks
Many details, such as the cockpit hatch in the head are also equipped with movable gimmicks, allowing for a variety of different expressions.
 |
 |
The cockpit hatch in the head opens and closes. A 1/100 scale pilot figure (a regular soldier) can be placed inside. |
Furthermore, the cockpit section, which is common to all small-scale Imperial Zoids can be detached.
|
 |
The 2-Barrelled High-Speed Beam Gun and the 2-Barrelled Accelerated Cannon can be moved left, right, up, and down. |

|
|
It can be displayed in dynamic poses that look like scenes from the anime.

- Notes
The Hell Cat is specifically labeled as the Guylos Color Version. Interestingly, however, it opted to use the equipment names from the old war, when the Helcat was launched as a Zoid of Zenebas.
The official web page contains alt text for English-speaking viewers, which lists the Helcat as a Leopard type. Typically it's listed as a panther-type. The page also, thus far, lists it as a Hell Cat. This may or may not change upon its official release.
