- EZ-015 Iron Kong

The Iron Kong is a huge Zoid, and it's rather impressive that they managed to pull off a walk cycle with its unusual limb placement. It is a giant addition to any model kit collection and towers over most of the other NJR kits.

Zoids Battle Story 4

ZAC 2099  The year is ZAC 2099... And the era of peace that has lasted for over 40 years has come to an end. The Intercontinental War that was once fought was fought between the Guylos Empire, whose territory was on the dark continent of Nyx, and the Helic Republic, which had unified the center continent, Delpoi. To settle the war, the Guylos Empire began to advance on the western continent, Europa.

The aim of the Empire was to secure an invasion route to the central continent while avoiding the Triangle Daras, a strong electromagnetic sea that lied between the two countries. Upon catching wind of this information, the Helic Republic decided to dispatch their Zoids Combat Force immediately.

However, the difference in strength between the Imperial Army, which ahd been preparing for the war for several years, and the Republican Army, which was lagging behind by several years, was clear. Only one week had transpired after the start of the war. The Republic's front lines were in serious danger. The main forces of both armies faced each other across the desert, both aiming for Mount Olympus, which was located in the south central part of the Western Continent. Known as the "Roof of Europa", this mountain was a strategically important location that overlooked the entire Western Continent. In the first battle of siege over this location, the Republican Army suffered a fatal defeat.

In this battle, it was the EZ-015 Iron Kong that brought the greatest results to the Empire. There was no Republican unit that could defeat this huge, all-purpose Zoid, which could handle both fighting combat and artillery battles in all weather conditions.

Fuselage Explanation

It's the only Imperial Zoid among the existing Central Continent War Era Zoids that can compete with the Gojulas. A versatile machine that can be used in all terrains and weather conditions, and exhibits high fighting performance and a variety of missiles such as ground, anti-air, and anti-Zoid. Also, because it's much easier to handle than the Gojulas, which has a bad temper, many pilots of the previous war recommend it as the perfect machine. There's also an MK-II mass-produced versions which improve maneuverability by installing boosters.
