- Helcat Noir
The Helcat Noir was released as a bonus item for the first production of Zoids VS. II, where it was featured as the starter Zoid when choosing the Empire path in story mode. Even though its been years since its initial release, this kit is still widely available at an affordable price. I highly recommend it if you like the small wind-up Zoids.

- Introduction
Noir is one of those kits that sat on my to-buy list for many years, until I finally bought one around 2021. The first thing that stands out is just how unexpectedly beautiful this kit is. Photos barely do it justice, but in person the kit is a beautiful green metallic. Though it has marbling through this, it only adds to the effect with how beautifully it all captures the light.
Otherwise, there's not a lot to say about this kit. It's a Helcat, so on the simpler side of wind-up Zoids. The numerous pegs across the kit give you a variety of placement options for the weapons, and the silver canopy is a nice contrast against the black and green.

- Cockpit
Helcats use the classic clamshell cockpit from the OJR days. In Noir's case, the helmet is green, and the cockpit itself is silver. The helmet rotates up a bit and the cockpit can open. The canopy glass is green.
- Small-Calibre 2-Barrel Laser Machine Gun
Helcat's second weapon is attached to the chest. It's on a peg that allows quite a range of motion, however, its full range is limited by the position of the front legs.
- Anti-Zoid 20mm 2-Barrel Beam Gun
This small gun is attached to the lower back and swivels in a full 360 radius.
