- RZ-064 Gojulasgiga

Gojulagiga was one of the most ambitious motorized kits to come out of the NJR era. Not only was it a fairly large Zoid with many adjustable parts, but it also had lights and sounds. To take this feature one step forward, it had two different modes, Battle Mode and Purse Pursuit Mode, which changed the color of the eyes and the speed at which it walked.

About The Giganotosaurus Wild Body, The Origin of Gojulasgiga
Most of the Zoids used as combat weapons are actually "mechanical organisms", in which all but the Zoid Core is replaced with cybernetic parts. Zoids were originally the indigenous creatures of Planet Zi, and have evolved their own "Wild" forms, created by developing a "metal exoskeleton" in their harsh natural environment. Currently, the number of Wild individuals has drastically declined in number due to overhunting, and they are now only found in protected areas and on undeveloped continents. Gojulasgiga was developed based on the Wild Giganotosaurus, which was considered to be a particularly rare species, and it bears the name of Gojulas because it resembles the Gojulas with its 16 pairs of sealed-armament back fins.

- Fuselage Explanation

Gojulas Giga. Based on the huge, and rare Wild Giganotosaurus species, it's a battle machine beast that has evolved to be robust and agile, reflecting the results of research carried out by the Republic's Development Department since the time of the Old War. In addition to having high basic abilities, by switching from Battle Mode to Pursuit Mode, it gains mobility beyond anything you could imagine for a giant Zoid. It also makes the most of its transcendent fighting abilities, as well as heavy armor made of an ancient alloy, which completely blocks the jamming waves of the Dark Spiner. Furthermore, its final weapon, the 32-Shot Zoid Core Cannon, which can only be fired once, at the cost of its own life, has far more power than even the Death Saurer's Large-Bore Charged Particle Cannon. Indeed, it's a unit worthy of being called the Trump Card of the Republic's Counter-Offensive Operations.

- Zoids Official Fan Book EX Vol. 1

The Gojulasgiga began the first issue of Official Fan Book EX, a series of small pamphlets/booklets released with the end of the NJR kits, detailing the battle story at that point. The issues contain some beautiful pencil artwork, model kit images, and more! Since they're rather long, we've put them on a separate page. Click the image to your left to read!

This issue follows Republican pilot Steve's desperate bid to prevent an invasion of the Imperial "Black Dragoons". After the Ogre buys them some time, Steve must turn to the Gojulasgiga to save the Republican base.
