- Fuselage Explanation

The Republican Army escaped to the Eastern Continent after being chased from the Central Continent by the Seismosaurus. There, they found ZOITEC, a Zoid development company that had created the BLOX system. The Republican Army, which had lost its national power, requested that ZOITEC develop Zoids that they could use against the Seismo in exchange for the technology to develop large-scale Zoids. Research for the new decisive combat Zoids began based on the tyrannosaurus-type Wild Zoids provided by the Guylos Empire, which had an alliance with the Republic. ZOITEC devised the B-CAS as well, which raised the potential of ZOIDS by adopting BLOX as armor. Two such BLOX, Hien and Gekkou have been completed. In addition, they completed a new weapon unique to the Republic, which used Condensor Panels to absorb the beam attacks of enemies and fire them as a Condensing Charged Particle Cannon. The new Zoid thus born was named the Gairyuki (Shining Victory Dragon), named from the hope that it would lead their triumphant return to the Central Continent, as well as from the glowing appearance of the Condenser Panels all along its body.

Gairyuki Wild Body Explanation

Wild bodies (Wild Zoids) are life forms that inhabit the Planet Zi, like dinosaurs, beasts, insects, etc. and are covered in metal exoskeletons. Combat Zoids are created by capturing the wild bodies, keeping the Zoid Core (a sphere that contains the brain, nervous system, heart, etc.) and replacing the metal body with a mecha. Due to the lack of strong wild bodies on the Eastern Continent, the Republican Army requested a wild Tyrannosaurus-type Zoid, the strongest wild body of the Guylos Empire, and also the body used for the Berserk Fürher. Based on that request, ZOITEC's technical team readjusted the processing nerves around the Zoid Core to create a symbiosis with BLOX, and it became the wild body for the Gairyuki.

- Instruction Manual Story

The Gojulasgiga began the first issue of Official Fan Book EX, a series of small pamphlets/booklets released with the end of the NJR kits, detailing the battle story at that point. The issues contain some beautiful pencil artwork, model kit images, and more! Since they're rather long, we've put them on a separate page. Click the image to your left to read! While this issue isn't technically part of the Fan Book EX, the story segments do fit into the middle of the story.

This issue follows the Helic Republic during their final escape from the Central Continent in the wake of the Neo Zenebas invasion. They retreat to the Eastern Continent, guided by ZOITEC, the company that first conceived the BLOX system. This mysterious company offers the Republic a single ray of hope, but time will tell if their new Zoid is capable of regaining ground.
