- EZ-038 Elephander
Elephander came into the series as one of the first iconic Zoids that incorporated swapping parts. There were some others who had leftover parts from the previous build, such as the Blade Liger and Geno Breaker, but this Zoid had parts crafted specifically for swapping between multiple modes. This was a great boost to its playability, and makes the Zoid a worthy purchase. The only downside is that it's not very big for an elephant!

- Zoids Battle Story
ZAC 2100...
The battle for the western continent Europa had reached its final stage. The Destroyer Corps, centered on Ultra Saurus, broke through the Empire's defensive lines. The bombardent began at the Nixie Base, the most important base of the Imperial Army. The Destroyer Corps. was composed entirely of reinforced and modified Zoids. Their artillery power was overwhelming. Above all else, the range and destructive force of the Ultra Saurus' 1200mm Ultra Cannon was tremendous, and the Imperial soldiers were helplessly silenced.
At this point, the Imperial Army Command finally decided on a total withdrawal from the continent of Europa. They planned to collect their remaining troops and take them back to their home country (The Dark Continent of Nyx). However, the Republican Assault Force was already approaching the Nixie Base.
Someone had to act as a human shield until their allies could finish retreating. Eventually, a base defense unit was formed from volunteers. Only one battalion (about 100 combat Zoids). On the other hand, the Republican troops that were rushing in were made up of five divisions (about 5,000 combat Zoids) in just the first wave alone. It was a desperate battle. However, the morale of the defense unit was high. As if in response to that passion, their beloved Elephanders trumpeted at the countless Republican troops.
- Fuselage Explanation
The development of the Elephander began at the end of ZAC 2099. It's a large Zoid designed by the Imperial Army, which had one the first battle of the Western Continent War and hunted down the Republican Army, designed it to be a counter-guerrilla and counter-base capture warfare unit. It has heavy armor that can withstand the suprise attacks of the enemies and the power to tear through enemy lines. It's also installed with a feature that allows its equipment to be easily replaced according to the mission demands, such as an enemy search type, an armament strengthening type, and a battle command type. However, when it was put into action, the battle situation had already changed significantly. The Elephander, which was supposed to have the honor of ending the Republic, was instead turned into the tragic machine that formed the last guard during the destruction of the Empire's Nixie Base.
